That's why I bought not just one but four ULANZI VL49 RGB Video Lights. They've become indispensable in my daily routine. The Bright Side These lights are as bright as you'd hope for and even more. Whether I'm shooting a product or setting the mood for a video tutorial, these lights deliver spectacularly. The full range of colors adds that extra pop, elevating the quality of my work effortlessly. Versatility in the Studio One of the best aspects of these lights is their versatility. With the 360° Full Color options and magnetic mount, I can place them just about anywhere. Plus, they have 3 cold shoe mounts, which means I can stack 'em up or connect them to other accessories as needed. A Not-So-Dark Side If I have to point out a downside, it's that the battery charge is somewhat short-lived. That said, it's not a major concern for me. A quick recharge and they're good to go. Besides, the performance more than makes up for it. Go For It! Having used these lights daily for months now, I can safely say they're a solid investment. I've been using the ULANZI VL49 RGB mini LED light on a few music video shoots, some quick interviews, and even for my own studio self-shots, and it's honestly been a great little tool. It's super compact (pocket-friendly), mounts easily on the camera hot shoe or magnetically sticks to metal surfaces, and the full RGB + adjustable CCT (2500K-9000K) lets you dial in whatever mood or fill you need—warm for skin tones, cool for dramatic looks, or straight-up colorful accents for music vids. On the shoots, it provided nice, even fill without being harsh, and the CRI 95+ kept colors looking natural (no weird tinting on skin or outfits). Brightness is surprisingly punchy for its size (up to 800 lux close-up), dimmable from 0-100%, and the battery lasts decently (a couple hours at higher levels, way longer dimmed). The LCD makes adjustments quickly—no fumbling in the dark. One crew member even laughed and said, "That's gotta be an expensive light, right?" when they saw the output—haha, nope, budget king! The ULANZI VL49 RGB is surprisingly bright for its size. At 2000 mAh, it's bright enough to use as a full light when Vlogging but also surprisingly effective at adding a pop of color to an existing scene or the background. Its ability to set the light temperature from warm to cool, and then full RGB, and all the colors make this incredibly versatile for its size. Super small and lightweight and I like the fact that the power button is recessed a bit and has to slide on instead of pressing it, so you can't accidentally or easily turn it on in a bag. You're not going to get studio quality color accuracy from this but it's surprisingly in the ballpark for what it's intended for. The USB-C charge port on the back makes it very convenient and the fact that it can be mounted in both a cold shoe or a 1/4 20 mount makes it very versatile. I have ended up using this much more than I thought I would as a fill or background color light.

Love it. I meant to use it for variable alternate light source on a microscope, but i've decided to mount it on my dslr instead. Amazing price, i've even used it for different light therapy frequencies.. i'd simply say, if you want a fully adjustable lamp for your camera, an alternate spectrum light source and or light therapy... it's a crazy value. I can't decide whether to get more or not, but i probably will get one more at some point. It also has some emergency flashing effects and a "party" mode or two , so it's incredibly versatile. You can chain them together essentially infinitely since they have 3 hot shoe mounts on each unit as well. Or use those mounts for mics, other acessories etc. Hope this helps!

This is a great little light that has some cool features packed into it. It has a huge range of colors, temperature and brightness. Great for vlogging or using as a key light. Small and lightweight makes it great for travel. There are cold shoe mounts on three sides of the light so you can mount other accessories or even create a light panel with multiple lights. The battery life is pretty good as well.

This is a very well made. Very functional light. I use it for macro and product shots. The unit has a broad range of light spectrum, brightness and color. This picture shows the Ulanzi set on an orange color at around 50% brightness. I use it on a K&F Magic arm which allows me to position the light onto my subject to avoid shadows or give a pop of color. This versatile little light source is a must have for every kit.

Can be used as a back light or main light for shooting videos. Even used for on a building site. Many uses for this little(but powerful) light.

Cool little light. Being able to change the colour to a specific degree so that you can replicate it again for future projects is a very nice feature. Easy to use, magnetic and tripod mountable makes this little light and awesome prop to enhance your projects. The battery also lasts a decent amount of time. Great for small product photography as well. For the money, it's a great buy.
