Perfect Finger Ring Cutting tool
This ring cutter worked like a charm. I thought I could cut my ring off my finger myself but as turns out you need two people to do the job. You got to be able to squeeze the pliar handle and turn the cutter wheel requiring two extra hands. It only took a couple of minutes and a perfect cut was made. I then took a wide blade flat screw driver placed in the gap of the new cut and twisted the gap apart enough to get my finger out. The ring cutter was cheaper than going to a jeweler and now I can use it again. It came with an extra cutter blade. It already paid for itself.

It works and be patient
This product works, but it needs some time figuring out. When you first clam it down and you turn the dial, it hurts like hell as it push the ring upward or downward against your bone . I figure out the best way to it (DIY) is to use your body to push against the handle, thus freeing your other hand to spin the dial, but let it rub against the ring lightly instead of deeply cutting the ring so it won’t push the ring against your bone. After about 5 minutes of light grinding, I was able to free my ring that I have wore for 15 years! Bittersweet. It’s one of those task that won’t be easy to write any instructions, and I recall there is nothing come with the tool. You just have to play around with it. Overall good tool for the job. Now what am I going to do with it?

Got the job done
I've had a Swarovski Nirvana ring on my middle finger for 3-4 years and it wasn't coming off. It isn't a traditional metal ring, so I wasn't sure if this ring cutter would work. It is a 2 person job. You can't clamp it down and rotate the cutter on your own since one hand will be unusable. My boyfriend helped and the first blade dulled while trying, so mid cut we had to swap blades (there is an extra that comes with it) and the second blade made it through, but that one was worn down as well by the end. To change the blades (I'm mentioning this since I couldn't initially find instructions) use pliers to hold the old blade in place, then turn the crank counter clockwise and it will unscrew. Remove that blade and slide the new blade in, then screw it in with the crank. I'm giving it 5 stars because it finally got this ring off my finger fairly easily and because it's not a traditional ring. It cut through the crystal chunk surrounding the band as well as the band itself. I can't use it again without new blades, but I'm hoping not to get another ring stuck on my finger anyway.

Worked great!
This tool worked really well to cut off a platinum ring that was stuck on my finger. Ring was 2 mm thick. It took about 5 minutes, going carefully and slowly, and required 2 people. When the blade got stuck, I released the pressure on the handle to allow blade to turn better. After the cut, I used needle nose pliers to pry ring open enough to get it off. Definitely recommend!

Cut through double bands of gold!
I've had my wedding band on for 36 years and let's face it, I"m not the same size I used to be. With arthritis advancing and my fingers changing I decided it was time to remove it. Double bands of relatively thick gold. It works like a scoop nose pliers. You feed the scoop under the ring and while gently squeezing the pliers together, you spin the wheel and its teeth cut a groove into the ring. I had someone else turn the wheel (since of course I only could use one hand) and it took us about 4 minutes to cut through both bands without separating them. (My rings are interlocking style). Then we bent the rings open wider to get them over my knuckle. There's no reason I didn't give a 5-star review except that it just performed as it should without fanfare. No big deal. But boy, did it feel good relieving that pressure from years of those rings being there.

EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A PAIR OF THESE!
Due to an accident at school my daughter’s finger got badly injured, it immediately swelled and there was no way to remove the ring on that finger. I contemplated going to the ER (which probably would’ve cost 800-1000$ easily) but instead I googled medical ring cutter and found these on Amazon! They were same day delivery thankfully! I kept an eye on the finger knowing that if it felt cold or started turning dark we’d have to head to the ER, but luckily the Amazon delivery came before that happened! This ring cutter was SO EASY to use and literally within minutes of the delivery we had the ring off! You simply slip the half circle part under the ring, apply slight pressure ( it didn’t take a lot honestly) and turn the key ( like winding an old toy) and within 3-4 turns I heard the little snap of the ring so I knew I was cut through. The cut was very clean! (however, due to the amount of swelling on my daughters finger, we had to pull the ring apart which is what created the damage to the ring as seen in the photo) Everybody should have a pair of these in their medicine cabinet. They are affordable and made what could’ve been a costly trip to the ER a quick, painless, and extremely affordable process.!

Not practical
Returned as there was no way this was going to work to get my wedding band off. I ended up going to the Diamond Cellar where they have a goldsmith on site. They were able to cut off my ring in 2 seconds, for free, and no issues getting it re-sized/fixed later. Be safe-go to a jewelry store(goldsmith).

Sturdy, Life saver and best gold - ring cutter !
Indeed a sturdy product , life saver and worked as intended ! After 14 years , Gold ring in my spouse finger had become a thing of concern ! It got really tight and with frequent finger swelling it became tight as anything ! Friction led to impact the finger gradually Pain started to increase and before it becomes unbearable , we got this product and got rid of finger-sucking ring ! It’s a must awesome product ! 6 stars out of 5 :) Steps : use ice to reduce swelling if any; do it under enough light ; take your time and insert nicely as instructed; your spouse can either hold the grip or rotate the blade clockwise. JUST Ensure - grip is ok-tight and friction happening between the ring and the cutter ! Do it slowly and patiently. (As per the width 1-3 minutes it will take - GOLD ring)

Sturdy and effective.
Bought this for my mother who couldn’t get her Wedding band off. Was very simple to use, and effectively cut the ring without any problems. Once cut we pulled it apart with pliers. Very happy with this product, and it comes with an extra blade. Highly recommended.
