I have not tried this though. This little timer is well worth the money. **Q: Will this work with the orbit 20066 portable 1/4-inch outdoor mist cooling system? i want it to mist for a few minutes every 5 minutes or so...** A: I don’t think it will work as you want. You can set it for a set time frame but then have to set for another.....can’t set for intermittent timing. **Q: why do timer leak after few months of use** A: Yes. We run 8-10 of them around the property. I date them when I put them in service. They usually last 1 year , then start leaking from the bottom. **Q: Does this timer have a mode that bypasses the timer feature to keep the water on all the time?** A: Not that I"m aware of. But at normal flow through a garden hose, it will run at about 8 gallons a minute or 480 gallons in an hour. That's a lot of water in the garden.
