NYLABONE GIANT ORIGINAL FLAVORED RING BONE DOG CHEW We are owned by a five year old Greyhound, Kisser, and a ten month old Whippet/Heinz 57 mix, Diego. It was time to get some additional toys in the house for these two to share and to satisfy our puppy's lust for chewing/destroying. This NYLABONE GIANT RING CHEW is awesome. Both Kisser and Diego have been working at this ring and love it. Not only do they chew on it, they also play with it. They throw it around, push it across the floor, and smash at it with their paws. Diego, the puppy, has shark-like/vampire-like teeth and he loves to chew as most puppies do. He is into fine linens, pillows, blankets, tissues, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper big time, but this giant ring seems to satisfy those cravings. It is sturdy, heavy-duty, and keeps both dogs interested. Kisser is willing to share, but not Diego so we got both them another NYLABONE too just to keep them [and us] happy. Not only made for fun this ring discourages destructive chewing, fights boredom, and helps clean teeth and freshen breath. It is recommended for dogs up to 50 pounds. You can hand wash and dry to keep it looking good. At the bottom of the package is a graph that starts with GENTLE CHEWING STYLE and works it way up to EXTREME CHEWING STYLE. This ring is for EXTREME chewers. Kisser is a gentle girl and chews like a lady. Diego? Dang, he's like a chain saw but this ring stands right up to him and his nasty little teeth. It's fun to watch both of them play with this also. I like NYLABONE products as the packaging comes with directions and recommendations. Plus, they are made in THE USA and that's always a plus in my book. Your satisfaction is also guaranteed; if you are not happy with the product you may return to NYLABONE for a replacement. We are happy, Diego and Kisser are happy, so it's a win-win situation.

this is one of the very few chew toys that can withstand my dog. (everything else usually winds up in little pieces within a span of about 10 minutes to a few days). these Nylabone rings can usually manage to stick around for at least a month, and during that month, it's always her favorite toy. she carries it from room to room, sometimes flipping it over her head so it looks like some kind of crazy harness bit. other nylabone products don't last nearly as long - anything weaker than the DuraChew types, she just straight up eats and it's gone within a few minutes. the bone-shaped DuraChews, she powers through in about a week. anyway i love it and more importantly, the dog ADORES it.. we've bought 2 and will keep buying more as she chews through them. cautions: (1) once your dog starts to really get into it, the ring gets little barbs on it that (besides being gross), pick up fur, hair, lint, and other grossness, which your dog ends up eating. (2) once your dog breaks through the ring and it forms a really long crescent instead, watch out as when your dog flips it up, the end may catch her in the eye.

We've been buying Nylabone products for decades and if you're reading this review then chances are like, us your dogs are in every way family. That said I have found Nylabone products to be overall exceptional and most importantly safe. Especially if you have hardcore, aggressive chewers. The Souper bones and giant Galileo have been long time favorites of two Old English Bulldogs - they last a good long time and we discard them when they show signs of fraying and wear. Our youngest Elvis, recently had major surgery to remove a piece of rubber toy from his intestinal tract. An awful ordeal and harrowing experience. How he got this toy we don't know as the only rubber toys we give them are Kong my hunch is he came across something in the yard or park. So we will be even more diligent when it comes to choosing toys with the utmost care. For some reason I had never tried these Nylabone rings, so I purchased two of them and talk about an immediate hit! Both our dogs LOVE these virtually indestructible chew toys. The shape is sensational, both of our guys use one paw to hold the ring on end and chomp away. Also great for a little Human fun as you can grip on end of the ring and have a little Tug-O-War time which our kidz adore. These are a great size for any medium to large dog, they're intrigued by the shape and again, are NUTZ over them. The rings are made of the toughest Nylabone polymer and have held up amazingly well. Highly recommended. 5 PAWS UP!

Although the ring bone has the Nylabone quality that I appreciate, neither one of my dogs are interested in it. It's a solid ring that, based on other Nylabones my dogs like, would hold up to a heavy chewer. Sometimes my dogs take time to take interest in Nylabones, so I have hope that eventually they'll take interest in the ring. For now it'll be in their toy basket. <<UPDATE>> After about 30 days of sitting in their toy basket, my little dog pulled it out and chewed on the ring for a while! Sure enough, the bigger dog then wanted to chew on the toy, too. It's still not their favorite toy, but they both do enjoy chewing on the ring regularly. It is obviously durable even for heavy chewers. I'm sure this dog toy will be enjoyed for a very long time. Changed my rating from a 3-star to a 4-star. (See my video as proof!)

Doggie loved it instantly. But it does tend to peel off in layers on chewing, which may get eaten up. However info says its non edible, so don't know how safe it is finally.

My labrador absolutely loves this toy - she prefers it to any other nuylabone and will sit for hours just chewing away. It does last for about 3 or 4 months but that is it being chewed for a long time every single day. She got attached to the point that we have to replace it whenever she chews it right down to a stub. It's not been available for ages so she's been without, and it's finally back! I'm sure other dogs will have a similar love for it so it's definitely worth a try! With this seller (Vitamin Chaps); this got dispatched on the 4th April and I don't yet have it 6 days later, so don't get it if you are in any rush to get a chew toy for a dog who's destroying the furniture! It's not a problem for most though, so not a big worry :)
