Best charger I have ever owned.
This charger is built very solidly. It is heavy and I presume it uses a good sized transformer. It has a built in cooling fan. The automatic function works well through about 9 stages in the charging process. It initially analyzes and then step two, if necessary, it de-sulfates the battery. This took about 7 hours on a spiral wound lead-acid battery in a tractor of mine. The battery has a 720 cold cranking amps rating and was down to 200 amps capacity based on my capacitance tester. After 7 hours in the de-sulfating mode the charger turned itself off with a FULL indication in its window. I then tested the battery and it had 700 CCA's. My only criticism is that the charging cables, although plenty heavy in wire gauge, are quite stiff when the charger is used in the cold. Overall, this charger is particularly well built while using advanced microprocessor technology for top performance. I don't know of any other charger equalling its performance and build quality.

Robust and easy to use.
I like this charger, it has plenty of power, easy to use operating panel, which is good as the instructions provided are very lacking. Interestingly the manufacturer sent me an email through Amazon with an updated set of instructions (downloadable PDF) which are a little better but could still be improved. Overall very solid unit with heavy cables and good quality battery clamps. Should last a long time.

Good Charger But With a Design Flaw
I have had this charger for about a month now. I have used it twice to charge/jump start a battery in a vehicle that does not get driven often. The charger works great and does as is advertised. The back of the unit features a place to wrap both the cables and cords to store them neatly. Unfortunately, when the folks designed the back of the unit, they did not leave enough room between one of the plastic wraps and where the cables go into the unit. You then have to bend the cables out of the way just to get the cords to wrap around the plastic wraps. It works, but takes a lot of bending to get it done. I can certainly see this becoming an issue over time as it is used. I feel this will only lead to problems if you use the wraps on the back consistently. Those cords can only take so much bending back and forth before they begin to suffer from damage and ultimate failure. If this design flaw was fixed, would be a definite five star!

Be careful what ya ask for
Not nearly as good as they say it is,it’s supposed to fix a battery if something is wrong with it but mine didn’t. My tractor battery started loosing power if I didn’t start it at least once a week so I removed it from the tractor and followed the instructions hooked it up and left it in the twenty AMP automatic mode went back and checked on it the next morning charger had stopped charging and the battery was dead I just wish I had tried it before the return time ran out.

Instruction are not very good
What I like is it built very rugged and the clamps and wire they use are the strongest of any of the other chargers I have used. What I didn't like are the instructions and the error codes that they dont list in the instruction manual. Plus If it goes into repair mode it states 20min to 2 hrs. Its over 2 hrs more like 8hrs or more and the battery that I hooked it up to show 12.4 Volts when I started the charger and in the morning I check the progress and it showed an error code and I disconnected the battery and my volt meter showed 10.4 volts on my battery. You be the judge and if anyone knows why it did that please contact me.

Well built and heavy duty.... and I mean it!
One of the few remaining metal housed unit. The cables are heavy gauged and the clamps are well made to prevent accidental contacts. The unit is heavy.... which is a good sign of a well built transformer. The various options are useful and straight forward. The instructions are worthless, but, really, if you need instructions on a battery charger, perhaps, you should leave this kind of electric appliance alone.. lol. The only improvement I would suggest is for heavier duty buttons... the only parts I feel will wear out after years of usage. Even though many others have fancy LCD displays, but I think this simple 'old schooled' indicators are more robust and will be longer lasting.

Seriously impressed
After checking out a battery charger at a certain parts store famous for being 'in the zone', I was stunned at the crap they were offering and the price they were demanding. This product was comparably priced to the 2A trickle charger. The 'full featured' battery charger was more than twice the price of this unit, did not include the alternator tester, the repair mode, or 100A starting. I've been putting the unit through it's paces. It's impressed me at every level. The build quality is far better than I would have expected for this price. It has a satisfying heft, good quality cables and a decent setup to store the cables when not in use. I'd highly recommend to anyone in the market.

Battery Charger Review!
I was able to charge a truck battery that had been sitting for over a year. It wouldn’t charge at first but I put it on the current supply and it ended up charging it fine. The battery was completely drained at the time. The cooling fan is a great feature. However, the unit came with what sounded like a piece of plastic that was loose inside the charger, but it still worked great.
