Chalkola 8 Liquid Chalk Markers, 1mm Extra Fine Tip for Chalkboard Signs

***UPDATE*** I discovered my surface was porous and modified it (lesson learned, USE THE PRIMER), and these really do work wonderfully. They erase very well on the surface required for usage, and leave no residue or "ghost" writing behind. It really is a great product, but you absolutely MUST have a non porous surface. This is my first homemade chalkboard and I didn't know or understand some of these things. I cancelled my return, these markers will definitely fulfill my needs! Colors are amazing. A great option, as I dislike neon colors. I'm changing my rating to 5 stars! The colors are beautiful and rich, however these DO NOT erase well at ALL. I have a surface painted with chalkboard paint. I used a wet paper towel, vinegar and water, straight vinegar, tried spraying vinegar ON the surface and they are STILL stained on my board. Now I have to repaint the area I used them on, which is utterly ridiculous. The Bistro brand chalk markers erased beautifully with a wet rag but I can't find them in pastels. These markers were great, if you are wanting permanent print, but I had them on my board for less than 10 mins and it's stained. Be aware of how you plan to use them before you purchase.

I have been having so much fun with these. It really is like painting with a pen. There was a small learning curve, I didnt realize you have to kind of prime the pen tip by pushing the tip against a hard surface a few times until you see the color start to soak into the tip. Once that's done you just write, draw, etc. I have found these to be extremely pigmented and very easy to work with. I will say it is kind of stubborn in wiping it off, but that makes them absolutely perfect in my eyes. I mainly use these to label my pantry goods, and it is a major plus that it can stand up to a finger running across it or things along those lines, so my labels stay readable until I choose to wipe it clean and relabel. I have also used these on adult coloring books, and have found that a quick spritz of cheap hairspray locks the colors in place. I continue to be impressed by the quality of the products that the chalkola brand offers on here. I have purchased several of there sets, and continue to be impressed by the price, quality, and even there customer service is top notch. Over all, you def wont be disappointed, highly highly recommend!!!!

Like, do you see these colors?!?! I love the yellow and green the most. I think the purple would look great on white paper and maybe the peach too. Really easy set up. I just followed the directions on the back. But I noticed that they also note it on the pen and they have a cute little sheet of instructions. I love that they also note that the recommended way to store them is horizontal for long term and tip up for short term. NEVER TIP DOWN! And it make sense. The liquid will just fall out otherwise. It is a mess and as you can see, the blue is the worst color. I sorta have a feeling my blue was replaced with a different set and switched 🤔 we’ve all thought about it once or twice before. I’m going to see if I can salvage it. But honestly, I am not mad at this set. I should’ve taken a picture of my hands too. It is messy if you want to switch to the chisel side of the pen tip. BUT, they are water-based. So all I needed to do was wash my hands with soap and water. It was an easy clean up. I’m also glad they aren’t smelly.

I bought these to use on my black chalkboard. I was concerned about the color being dull since it's "earth tone" and permanent. Fortunately, the product exceeded my expectations. I was surprised by how vibrant the colors were! All the colors were well contrast against the black background. I also tried these markers on my white dry erase board. Still vibrant colors. Erasing was fairly easy. With dry cloth eraser, it left some streaks. With water or windex applied, the colors came off clean after having been on the board for a few hours. Though, after a few days, the ink left some residual on the black chalkboard, but came off clean on the white dry erase board. It's nothing that's too obvious. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product in regards to ink vividness and ease of erasing.

classic colors, easy to use, lasted me a long time. I got tons of use out of these and am super stoked on the quality of the paint in the markers. Really easy to remove, though I recommend doing it dry and not wet as it makes a pretty big mess when wet. Have fun!

It worked perfect for what I wanted it for. I used the white, moss green, and brick red. I gave it 4 stars for easy to remove since I used it on a chalk poster and not a real chalkboard, and you can see the chalk I erased. Could very well be the poster itself, or the fact chalk marker takes some elbow grease to get out. The colors are vibrant and didn’t bleed together when I colored the leaves. It doesn’t take much to get the chalk started, and it wrote beautifully the whole time. I love these markers, and want to buy more boards so I can use them again!

PROS: The colors are good, did not bleed through or warp cardstock, low odor. They even did well on regular paper, there was a slight warping of the paper but I expected that as these aren't really meant for 20lb paper. CONS: The drawback of these is that the pens we received "blobbed out". They basically allowed ink to pool out and be wasted. It was hard to tell if some of the pens were short on ink due to this, after the ink was released all at once the pen seemed to be empty. We may have gotten a defective set but 4 of the 8 weren't of much use because the ink just poured out. My daughter did get some use of the ink by using a paintbrush.

Great markers with fine tips and beautiful colours! Versatile, great durability as well as easy to clean up - depending on the material. Will probably buy again!

I ordered these markers to complete a job for the place I work. I found the markers flowed well, with beautiful bright yet earthy colours. There was no leakage or smearing and they dried well. For the price I paid they were good value for money, very easy to use and they gave excellent coverage on the chalkboard. They arrived quickly and I'm really happy with the quality of the products I ordered. Would definitely order again if needed.
