Great device and great value
The iron neck alpha is a much better value for your money than the more expensive iron neck halo devices. Because it has D rings on all 4 sides, you have the versatility to do side bending and rotational exercises in addition to the conventional forward and back motions. I know many people are used to using these harnesses with a weight attached to a chain hanging from the harness, but trust me us a resistance band attached to the d rings instead. It's a great way to rehab or build up the neck stability and strength without putting as much stress on the neck. I'm a personal trainer and I use this with a lot of my clients if they have chronic tightness or aches in their neck. It helps reduce pain and improve range of motion. I've even used it when I have a tension headache, and by balancing the tension between all the neck muscles instead of just the ones that attach to the base of the skull, my headache went away. I wouldn't say the harness is 100% comfortable or sturdy, but I don't know if any head harness can make that claim. At least I've never tried one that is completely comfortable and doesn't shift at all when using it. I can usually steady it while I'm using it by holding 1 or 2 of the D rings while doing my neck motions. I highly recommend this and would buy it again. I've bought 2 of them so I have one at home, and one at the gym. Anyone that wrestles, does Jiu Jitsu, boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, plays football or rugby, should have one of these. Or just anyone with a weak or sensitive neck should use it to improve their neck stability. Under the supervision of a medical or rehab professional, I'm sure it would be valuable to some people recovering from concussions or neck injuries too, if used properly.

You will look ridiculous, but your neck strength will be insane
Letโs get one thing out of the way immediately: you look like a medieval knight undergoing strict physical therapy while wearing this. Anyone who catches you training with it will definitely stare. โHowever, once you get past the funny look, the Iron Neck Alpha Harness actually works incredibly well. โThe construction is solid, and the inner neoprene padding keeps it comfortable around your head and ears so the straps don't dig in, even under heavy tension. Having multiple D-rings makes it super versatileโyou can hook it up to resistance bands, cables, or hang traditional weight plates to target those forgotten neck and trap muscles from every angle. โIf you do combat sports, lifting, or just want to build serious neck strength to fix terrible desk posture, this is 100% worth the slight blow to your ego at the gym. โPros: โExtremely durable straps, stitching, and D-rings. โNeoprene lining provides great comfort and keeps it from slipping. โ6 attachment points allow you to hit front, back, and side neck muscles easily. โCons: โZero points for fashionโprepare for a few laughs.

A high quality Item for a good price.
The item shipped fast and is made of quality material. And you can definitely get a good workout with it. My only complaint is that it tends to slip a little in some situations. It doesn't slip a lot. Just enough to be uncomfortable sometimes. I'm not sure how to correct this. The item has grips to try to prevent slipping. But the human head is round so grip is not easy to come by on a round surface.

Versatile and solid for both neck flexion and extension progressive weight exercises!
Size and fit are great for me. Seems to be pretty sturdy at 25 lb free weight plate for neck extensions from upper temple medial side rungs (not the lower earflap rungs, I didn't like those bc I couldn't feel any good ergonomic resistance, just felt like weight dragging down my torso, so very glad the upper temple medial rungs exist on this), and 22 lb for neck flexion on cable lat pulldown machine from rear occipital rung. Those were my starting weights on day one. Each one for 30 reps. So far, so good. (Have not tried side to side cable bends yet, but glad I have that option.) Despite being thick and well constructed, has a low profile (including thick nylon straps and 2 carabiners) that fit easily into your gym bag. Only complaint is that it kind of destroys your earbuds while wearing for flexion, but that's a small thing.

Beware of how it fits.
The chin strap is way too thin and uncomfortable. It also doesn't strap securely horizontally so it's not one size fits all. When I use it the thing shifts on my head constantly. I had another neck trainer device that had a terrible chain attachment that made it awkward to use but after comparing it to the Irony Neck it fit far better. Ended up using the strap for the iron neck with it. Disappointed to say the least.

Game-changer for rugby neck strength and injury prevention
As a rugby player, neck strength is non-negotiable, and the Iron Neck has been a huge addition to my training. Itโs incredibly versatile and lets you train the neck in multiple directions, which is critical for contact sports like rugby. What stands out: โข Adjustable head & chin straps โ fits securely and comfortably, even during heavier resistance โข Controlled movement โ feels much safer and more effective than traditional neck harnesses โข Portable โ easy to use at home, in the gym, or even during warm-ups โข Noticeable carryover โ Iโve felt better stability in tackles, rucks, and scrums It takes a bit of time to get used to proper form, but once you do, itโs extremely effective. If you play rugby or any contact sport and take injury prevention seriously, this is 100% worth it.

20 inch neck now!
Update: been using this neck harness a long time consistently now and my neck is now muscular 20 inches!! Same size as Mike Tyson. I train neck 3 times a week with this. I attach to cable machine and do neck curls, neck extensions and neck rotations If you use this consistency you neck will get huge. Maybe next aim is 21 inch neck .
