Does xylitol caramelize and brown wit the flavor and texture of sugar in baking?

It cannot caramelize and does tend to bake/cook/burn faster than sugar, so be sure to at least start checking what you are baking at half the normal time. It also absorbs more liquid, so add extra liquid... yogurt usually works well!
