A professional touch- better than the Dry Cleaner!
It might be a big costly to some people but this steam iron is the best. It makes ironing a joy! The iron is light to carry because the water where it turn to steam is in a separate receptacle. The steam output is abundant making ironing very smooth without effort. So you can finish your ironing in half the time that you normally need with the conventional steam iron giving a professional touch!

Excellent
This is the second steam generator iron I have purchased, the the first Rowenta; however I have a traditional Rowenta iron. I love this iron it produces lots of steam and works really well. The one draw back is that it shuts off too soon and it take 8 minutes to start back up again even if it was 8.5 minutes. It is nice and light weight and looks good too.

IMPROVED
Much better than the first generation, and it performs well. It’s temperamental at first, many have complained about it working a few times then quitting. Not the case, once you turn it on it takes a while to warm up, but if you walk away for more than a minute or 2, it will shut off and you’ll have to turn it on and wait a while all over again. Good product!

Takes to long to heat up!
3 minutes to heat up. . . so they say. . . closer to 8-9 minutes to heat up. Shuts off to soon, takes to long to heat up. Also very disappointed in the instructions. . . pictures only, no written instructions or directions. The pictures are nice, cute, and EASY to misunderstand. In the photos it looks like there is a way to delay the shut off time from 8 minutes to 30 minutes, but I cannot figure out how. Went their their website, but manual and directions are in photos only. No words. It would be nice to have both - photos and words. VERY disappointed. A lot of money for a piece of equipment that will not get used.

Powerful steam, shut-off VERY annoying
I've been using this about a month. I'm a quilter and I was really looking forward to the powerful steam and infrequent refills of the water vessel. Those things are true, and wonderful. However the thing that sticks out is how quickly it shuts down if I leave it sit, and then it's very confusing to get it going again. It relies on your interpretation of blinking lights to tell you what it's doing. The "owner's manual" has zero actual information-- just enigmatic pictograms. *No text at all.* I eventually found a help page online that described what happens with these blinking lights. So I have it mostly figured out now. But my biggest complaint is that it shuts down after only eight minutes on the cradle--this is too short, and it takes more than two minutes for it to come back to life and provide steam after it has done so. I consider this a real flaw In its design. In a perfect world, and for such an expensive item, the user should be able to change the auto-shutoff settings. UPDATE 12/14/2019: Nothing is more infuriating to me than the way this thing shuts down, and then it takes as much as 10 minutes for it to make steam again. Totally unacceptable in such an expensive item.

So far so good
This is a nice compact steam iron. So far it has been easy to use and has worked well as expected. The instructions are a little hard to understand as they are all pictorial without many words. It puts out good amounts of steam and heats up quickly. I like the water separate from the iron.

The perfect steam Iron!
We watched this product for about a year, when it was more than a few hundred dollars. Now I know, it would have been worth every dollar than and is now more valuable for the price we purchased it for, a bout a hundred and a half less for waiting, and risked the item being discontinued. We do a lot of ironing and steaming and haven’t had one issue with this unit. I’ve seen reviews that show this unit leaking and other issues, and know that those are results of possible abuse and damages, and a result of normal use. An excellent product and I highly recommended it!

Wife loves it
My wife had a different brand that lasted about 4 years but when it quit I found that they discontinued that model. She reluctantly tried this one and after a week of using it she proclaimed it is much better than the previous one she had. She said this one is much lighter which at first she thought a heavier iron was better but changed her mind. One bit of advice I can give for people using these high steam generating irons is always use distilled water in them. Distilled water will lengthen the life of the iron considerably. Distilled water cost less than $1/gallon at your local store.

It’s not everyday you buy an iron and I really try to avoid the task. BUT if your looking to get a good iron and steamer then look no further! I had always used an inexpensive iron (under $40)...now I know why I hated ironing! They simply don’t do a great job and it takes forever to get things done. Not with this Rowenta! It’s amazing! Things are instantly smooth! Nice design and light weight. Easy to use. Basically you get what you pay for.
