this is one of my most favorite things in the world. great for baking. great for drinking. great for pork chops. great with a pinch of cinnamon. for what it is, it's just great. reliable, practical, versatile. sugar added version is far far too sweet - i'm never going back. not after this version.

I've been a long-time fan of applesauce. My mother fed it to me- and now I feed it to the kiddos in my home. In a home with many children applesauce is a staple for us, and it's one 'treat' that the kids can eat as much as they want of without me feeling guilty. Refills of applesauce? Yes! We can do that. This was the cheapest 'bulk applesauce' deal on Amazon when I made this purchase. You receive 8 large plastic jars of applesauce. Each jar is sealed with a metal lid and a plastic ring. The plastic ring is easy to remove and the metal lid comes right off without a lot of effort. Although these jars aren't as convenient as Mott's small 'personal cups', they're way less filling in our trashcan. I love the convenience of the small cups, but these larger jars are much better for the environment in terms of how much plastic is being thrown away- so I opt for these large jars most of the time.The applesauce itself is the best I've found. I'm usually an 'all organic' buyer- but I have yet to find bulk organic applesauce in large containers that doesn't have flavors added. This applesauce is simply that; apples made into a sauce. There is a bit of citric acid (which could either be lemon juice or lime juice) for preservation purposes- but there is NO sugar, corn starch, or added flavor. Considering I try to keep my kids on as low of a sugary diet as possible, this is a huge bonus for me. The taste is fresh, delicious, and full of apple-y goodness. There's a reason we've placed multiple orders for these bulk set of applesauce; it's quality and price can't be beat. Keep up the good work, Motts. We'll be back many times in the future, I'm sure.

My kid's LOVE applesauce and MOTT's is one of their favorite. My oldest would drink it if we allowed him, and could easily finish off a Jar/day. This case was offered as a decent price and we grabbed a couple cases while we could.. Kids devoured them!These are 'natural' applesauce, which is exactly what I prefer to purchase for my family. Applesauce is plenty sweet without adding unnecessary sugar or other favors or sweetener. My oldest has type1 (autoimmune) diabetes, which means that he CAN eat the same stuff other tens eat, but he has to count and personally dose insulin for each and every bite of food that contains carbs in any form, including sugar. While he CAN eat sweetened foods, like regular applesauce, it's extra helpful for him to be able to enjoy a little more applesauce without having to worry about his blood sugar spiking a but extra. For him, full fruits are pretty gentle on him, he 's able to eat a lot of fruit (as long as he doses insulin for it) without a serious spike of glucose level. Added sugars have a harsher affect on his levels.The convenience of being to have these delivered to my door, a case at a time, is priceless.

This item SHOULD SHIP ALONE !! It tastes great but it's VERY heavy, When other purchases are shipped with it they get CRUSHED. I do love apple sauce but this box usually arrives damaged or partially broken open. I had a very small item that was in this shipment. Luckily nothing fell out.

No added sugar and a great value is hard to beat.
