Worth it
Easy install one of the shock ends was too thick had to sand it down a bit other than that ride quality is good very smooth at 30psi when I hooked up the trailer the truck height was nearly 2” higher truck was much more level. do not buy shocks with coil overs your truck will bounce all over the place

Great valve
This is a good alternative if you don’t want to spend $1000.00 for factory shock replacement. The ride is very good on the Monroe alternative which is a return to old school shocks, which you have to inflate manually to adjust for load. For everyday driving a pressure of about 25lbs gives the car a nice ride. So far I am very happy with the product. There is an airline kit you need to buy to make the air shocks work. This kit is made of plastic and at least on my kit I had trouble with it holding air. I added a brass extension to it and it’s working just fine now. I would encourage Monroe to offer the same kit with brass fittings, it would be worth a few extra bucks. The only other thing you will need to address is a warning sensor that will come on, telling you to fix your ride controller. There are several ways to disconnect that warning signal, you just have to pick the one that works best for you.

Do not purchase
These shocks are terrible! They were blown within a month of us putting them on, and I only drive on the highway. They also would not ever air up with a trailer on. I would not buy them again!!

MA830 Monroe air leveling shock absorbers
Haven't installed yet but my biggest concern was not using the cheap plastic install kit. I bought brass 1/4 inch to Schrader valve fittings and used 1/4 inch push to connect to 1/8 inch NPT elbows. They're attached to the GM style fitting on the shock body with a small section of 3/8 ID air hose and 1/2 inch PEX crimp clamps. The hose fit perfect. Just throwing it out there, hope it helps someone. Now we'll see if it'll get the back end of my suburban level with my car trailer loaded and attached.
