"Farther Along" conveys the message that one day we will gain insight into our life here on earth. At journey's end, we will come to understand. "Stand By Me" and "Without Him" are pleas for the help and support we need in times of trouble. And a particular favorite is "Where Could I Go But To The Lord" because of the beat and the theme, that in a world of temptation, where can one find refuge but in the Lord. In your private hours, when friends and family are no longer around you, and you're alone, close your eyes and listen to this CD. It's like a prayer.

Very satisfying to listen to. Elvis was a great hymn/gospel singer in his younger years. None of the showbiz take on the songs.

It was great but could not hear his voice the instruments. Sometimes. Oh well.

I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my mother. She loves Elvis, it was her 'era' the Elvis Years. This gospel CD has beautiful songs on it that she and I would sing along with while we were playing cards one evening. The sound is absolutely wonderful and his voice and the gospel songs gives you 'goosebumps' because they sound so beautiful. If you want a beautiful CD that has gospel songs on it, sang in the traditional, hymn-sing way, this is for you. My Mom loved this CD and was so thrilled to get it. She has a CD player in her car too.

Years ago I had this CD (yes am getting older) and it made my heart sing, I truly feel the wonder of His work through Elvis' way of singing the words. Is also a great companion as I can sing along, loud and passionate and just keep feeling. I donated a CD player a couple of years ago and forgot this was in it! I hope it went to a place where someone can love it too. Am so happy to have it again.
