Smaller than expected but pretty tough
I suppose I could have read the description more thoroughly but they are a little smaller I was expecting. I think they’re designed for one of those small compost buckets that some folks use. Smallness aside, they’re quite a bit sturdier than other composting bags I’ve used. They do rip sometimes if they’re too full but I don’t think you can expect them to be bullet proof. They never tear when I’m ripping one off of the roll, which happened almost every time with the other bags I used, so I’ll get these again.

Very good but can't ship to California anymore
Bought a couple rolls of these compost bags when our local city board required us to compost food waste. These worked completely fine for the year we had them. The bags tear at the perforations properly without ripping the bags, they stay intact for the number of days they have food in them without disintegrating too soon and fit our small waste bin properly. Problem for me is, when it came time to reorder, they were no longer able to be shipped to California and I had to try another brand which ended up being a bad purchase. So, I'm not sure why these are not on California's approved list but they worked just fine until we ran out. My guess is their composition is not as biodegradable as California wants them to be or something in the material is not as environmentally sound as it should be but I don't know. If you live in a state that will allow you to get them shipped to you, I highly recommend the Innotak brand. They work great.

Definitely compostable!
These bags work great if you empty it every couple of days, but we usually go a week or longer and the bag is completely leaking by then. Glad to know it’s compostable, but wish it lasted a little bit longer. Also wondering why packaging says something about the bag only being compostable at commercially compostable sites?? Not sure why it says that but it fit into my compost bin well and works perfect if I empty more often. Thank you for making earth friendly products!

Certified for municipal composting, makes our 1.3 gallon compost bin easy to clean.
We use these in our 1.3 gallon "Utopia Kitchen Indoor Compost Bin" - they fit it well. They are BPI certified, which our municipal composter insists upon. Like all compostable bags I've seen, they are very thin. They almost always break and allow liquid into the compost bin, but this is because we press down hard on the contents to get a lot into the counter-top bin before trips to the recycling center. So in a sense, you might think we don't need bags at all. But in fact, even with this treatment, they hold together well enough to keep the bin mostly clean when they are emptied. Usually only liquid remains in the bin, and it can be easily rinse out prior to inserting another bag. Without a bag, the bin would be harder to clean for its next use.

Excellent lichen compost bags
I’ve been using these bags for our kitchen compost bin for more than two years now and they’ve done a great job. We tend to pack quite a bit of stuff into it, often several pounds worth, and the bags hold up. I can’t say how these are in comparison to other bags. I just know that we’ve been very satisfied with them and I definitely recommend them.

Rip Easily
These rip more often than not when pulling off a bag - about half become unusable because they are so fragile. Even knowing this and gently trying to remove a bag, I still rip them fairly often.

Nice thicker quality bags that fit our compost can.
Very quick shipping, good quality thickness of bags and the right size. Easy in - easy out of can without worrying about it breaking.

Fits 1.75 OXO Good grips compost bin
I bought this to line my OXO Good Grips Easy-Clean Compost Bin 1.75 GAL/6.62 L. It's the perfect fit for that bin. It lines the bin and has enough left over so the lid can hold the bag in place. When you're ready to remove the bag, there's enough bag left over to grip and pull out of the bin. I have found it to be sturdy and durable. Doesn't tear in the bin or break apart when I'm walking to the compost pile. It does seem to allow a LITTLE leakage inside my kitchen compost bin though. This isn't a big deal, just an easy rinse and wipe and the bin is clean again. Just wanted to point out that after a week in my bin, it isn't 100% leak proof. More like 90% leak proof after a week. But, I don't think any compost bag would be totally dry after a week. So, still a good buy. I would buy again.

These are BRILLIANT! I am very keen to try to reduce my non-degradable plastic waste and tried these - quite half-heartedly, assuming that they would fall apart, rip or just generally fail to live up to expectations. How wrong I was! They are really just as good as high-end brands such as Brabantia or Simplehuman and, although more expensive than super-cheap brands, are very reasonable in terms of cost per bag. They don't leak, the seams are strong and durable, the ties don't snag, AND they decompose within your lifetime! 5 stars! I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone trying to be a little more eco-friendly.

I have had trouble with leaking bags. Even brand name bags, but Lucky Family Green Compost Bags, have been very good. I think I had one that did leak a bit

This is really nice bags. They fit my countertop composter perfect but because they’re a little smaller, they fill up fast. But then I do a lot of cooking in the day. Sometimes I could use two of these bags a day but with the size up I only use one bag

The first bag we used ripped and there was garbage over the floor. We now double bag and will not order these again.
