easy to use
this tds sensor module includes a control board, a probe with rather long cable (54cm) and wires set for connecting it to arduino/raspberry pi (need 3 extra male to male wire jumpers if connect to arduino) it is very easy to use, it simple return a ppm value from the signal terminal to analog pin, probably less than 5 minutes to finish a liquid test app if youโre familiar with these platforms i used the module with arduino, tested quality of tap water, boiled water, water from coffee dip tray and rain water the result was quite unexpected: tap water and boiled water were 48ppm, both were in ideal drinking water level, muddy water from coffee dip tray was just 68ppm, i thought it would be much higher the most surprising result was that, the water i collected from rain had only 12ppm, very pure, not much dissolved solid inside in conclusion, this sensor is great for educational purpose, to let student understand more about tds, but definitely itโs not fit for determining drinking water quality, as tds does not measure harmful contaminants in water all in all, this product fit for its purpose, iโm very happy with it, would recommend it

Well supported sensor
The thing that I like most about the CQRobot sensors is their support wiki that includes both the circuit diagrams and the code for using their sensors with both Arduino and Raspberry Pi. If you are going to use this sensor with the Raspberry Pi then you will need another module to convert to output signal so that the Raspberry Pi can process it. The code for the Arduino works straight out of the box. This sensor can be used to measure the hardness of water or the amount of dissolved solids of anything else you might be using in the lab. The probe is well made and easy to clean between uses. I am very impressed.

Probably a good TDS secory but not suitable for EC measurement in my experience
Came as a tidy package. Full disclosure it was my desire to use the probe as an EC sensor figuring that if it can measure TDS it can be adapted to measure EC. However for EC use the sensitivity was not good enough. The output voltage difference between 1413us/cm and 2760 us/cm calibration solutions (typical range for my Hydroponics use case) was only around 0.5V. I may have been able to get it to work with more tinkering but in the end gave up and purchased a much more expensive (alas) EC probe. FYI replacing an Atlas Scientific EC probe which failed after 4 years.

Versatile TDS Sensor for testing your water.
This TDS sensor is well designed and constructed and it comes with a complimentary CQRobot wiring loom. It also comes with a robust waterproof sensor probe and you need to remove its white rubber cap to expose the two metal prongs that go into the liquid to be tested. I tested it with my tap water and thankfully, it gave me a reading of well below 100 - which is acceptable. It's easy to set-up and the price is very reasonable. Love it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

Very nice module
This module is of great quality like everything else this company makes. They always mayor high quality modules that can be used for education. This one can easily be used for education as it involves water testing which involves chemistry. Although on the more pricey end, Iโd still highly recommend this company and the modules they produce. I tested this using an Arduino and the libraries that were recommended to download. I had no issues whatsoever and the values seem to be accurate in a water sample that was know to have a certain amount of dissolved solids. Overall, this is a great module which can be used for many projects and has many possibilities. Highly recommend!

Water testing for all!
I've now used a whole host of CQRobot sensors and I've been highly impressed by the ease and functionality of all their products. This carries over with this TDS sensor which makes it fun and easy to measure the number of dissolved particles in a liquid. The wiring is simple, at least for Arduino where an adapter is not needed, just connect ground, 5V and analogue to get going. I love the simplicity of following and understanding CQRobot instructions, the code is laid out and explained well and works immediately with no errors and in this case, no libraries needed. I only measured tap water but got accurate readings as the 330ppm reading correlated to the expected readings for average tap water. In all, this is a great simple, functional and accurate sensor for measuring the quality of liquids. This provides the potential for another, exciting new mini-project.

Easy to use TDS meter.
Currently working on implementing this sensor on a water hardness tester prototype. the sensor is easy to connect and use with arduino. Also comes in a handy clear storage box.

A neat package
The product came in a plastic box the right size. It also came with a strap to hold the wire, although i don't think it's too necessary as the wires aren't very long and the box can house them well. There are flying leads of different colours which his good, as this makes them easily identifiable but also enables you to connect this to multiple board pin layouts as the location of the female pins aren't fixed. I might say that the length of these leads are maybe a bit excessive, but it's better too long than short. It's really interesting to see the conductivity of certain liquids, however, I'm not too certain how accurate this is. With sensors like this, you have to calibrate it or adjust the values manually to get the reading you need. This would normally test two known solutions and reading the values. Other than that, the PCB is clean, and there is a small LED to indicate when it is powered. There is a lid on the probe, which you have to remove, to expose the two pins. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to do proper testing, but as a product to use for learning, I can definitely recommend this for that use.
