Do I need to buy the shams if this bed spread fit's a Queen bed ??

I love the spread! I bought a king size for my queen size bed and it fits perfect. At first I was going to get the shams but they were on back order. The spread,in my opinion, looks great without the shams.So I canceled the order for them

Is this bedspread a thin or medium weight- from the picture there must be something thick underneath - it looks so plush and cushy.

Hello, The bed in the picture looks like there is a comforter underneath. When you get this you need to wash it and tumble dry it to fluff up the fuzzy part (Chenille is the french word for caterpiller). The base part is medium weight cotton, but when you add the weight of the fluffy part this is definately on the heavy side.

Is it heavy or light weight?

Lightweight but very well made. We use it year round and add a light blanket in the winter. You will love it.

It shows pillow shams but doesn't come with any. How do I get pillow shams?

Hi, just type in Beatrice Home Fashions Medallion Shams in Amazon. They will pull up. I LOVE the bedspread! Have washed it several times, and it comes out beautifully. Yes, it still "sheds" but that is what these types of spreads do.
