Mortal Kombat XL - Xbox One

This is a great fighting game. However, it takes several weeks to master the moves. If your a constant Mortal Kombat player it will probably come a lot easier to you, but I have not played this game since it's earlier iterations. Probably MK 3 or 4 was the last version I played, and so much has changed. The graphics in this game are incredible. Nothing like the motion capture stuff that made the original a sensation at the time, but these graphics are beautiful. After a couple of weeks of training mode and single player, I have picked up the moves, kombos, fatalities, etc. I originally got Motral Kombat X, but when I saw Jason, Alien, Leatherface, and Predetor in the update XL, I had to have it. Can't wait to play as those characters. There is a high learning curve, but once you start to get a handle on that the game is a blast. The new Faction mode is fun, and I am now venturing out online to seek opponents, which is kind of new to me, as all I have ever played before is single player modes. Initially, I was getting my butt handed to me (probably by 12 year old kids LOL.). However, now that I am picking up the play mechanics, I have become quite competitive and pretty confident. It's a blast, and addicting as well. Find myself lost for hours picking up the moves. Best fighting game I have played in some time. Give it a shot and don't get frustrated.

I sold my regular version of Mortal Kombat a couple weeks ago because I had preordered this one. I knew right when I heard about this coming out that I would want it. As far as I know, it has all the characters included. I especially wanted Jason Voorhees, Alien, and Predator because I grew up watching all of those movies. I've been playing it for just a few days, but I had been playing the regular version of Mortal Kombat for several months. And I recently played Mortal Kombat like crazy on my 360. The reason why I bring that up is because the Xbox One's Mortal Kombat looks awesome. Some characters look more realistic while others not so much. Overall, the graphics are way better than the 360 - as it should be. But I didn't expect that much of a difference. Game play wise, it's just as fun as it always has been. I'm not the greatest at the games nor do I understand all that much about it, so I guess I should read up about it as it is not as straight forward for me. Anyway, great game. Good graphics. Loading times aren't bad. Oh, when I popped this into my Xbox One, it did have to "update" my Mortal Kombat X to the XL which was about 6gb. Don't plan on playing this game right when you get it - it may take a while.

Enough said. Large roster of characters that are all unique in their own way, fantastic graphics, and sooooo much content. It can take weeks to unlock everything in the Krypt. You have various Towers ranging from Klassic Arcade, to Living Towers, where different stats will affect the fight. A fairly large story mode with a decent story (MK9's story was way stronger) that can take several hours to finish. Combos are easy to understand once you put at least an hour or 2 in training mode with who you plan on using. The average number of hits on the combo list is 3, but can sometimes be 4-5, then it's a matter of last hit makes the person bounce, where you can land 2-3 more hits, or using a special to get the bouncing effect. As my title of what this review says, it offers tons of content for $60. Street Fighter V only offers online, training, versus, and survival for the same price. It pains me to say this, as I am a long time Street Fighter fan and have always liked it more than MK, but facts are facts, and Mortal Kombat XL is a FAR superior fighter for the same price.

I got this game for my husband, it was a LOT more gory then I remember it being! That is the reason I made it 4 vs. 5 stars but that is just my opinion. Aside from being unnecessarily gory it has great graphics like a lot of the ps4 games have. Lots of characters from old school mortal combat game with new characters that I hadn’t seen before.

My number one choice for fight action.

This is an expanded edition of Mortal Kombat X, now containing all the initially-released DLC on a physical disc. Previous owners of Mortal Kombat X can purchase the complete upgraded content over the PlayStation Store, but if you don't already own the game, this is the version to get, assuming Warner doesn't eventually release "Mortal Kombat XXL." The game expands the playable fighter roster from 33 to 37, among them, Goro, Tanya, and Bo Rai Cho from previous games. The other fighters include Triborg, a Lin Kuei cyborg capable of performing the different move-sets of Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke from previous games; and Tremor, a ninja with the ability to a use earth and element-based attacks. My favorite update by far is the addition of four horror movie villains as playable fighters: Alien, Predator, Jason (from Friday the 13th), and Leatherface (from Texas Chain Saw Massacre). Each have highly entertaining move-sets and special attacks that draw influence from their films. Just watching gameplay videos of them on YouTube, you can tell the designers left no stone unturned. If you're like me and had save data from Mortal Kombat X, there's no need to worry. The game will sync with it upon installation so that all your previous data is still usable. One thing that initially caught me off guard was that I couldn't use all the fighters or gameplay modes after the game finished installing. I passed some time messing around in the Krypt, picking up some bonus items, and when I came back, everything was there. Just a heads-up to anyone who may be confused when they first play - it may take a little while for all the DLC to "load up," but once it does, it's all gravy from there.

En cuanto al juego esta muy bueno, y lo mejor de todo que es la version completa con todos los personajes extras de dlc que te vendian aparte, por lo que es recomendable obtenerla a este buen precio, la historia es buena aunque me gusto mas la de mortal kombat 9, la jugabilidad esta buena te dan a elegir uno de los 3 modos de pele de cada personaje ya que es algo nuevo y que le da diversividad, los fatalitys son emtretenidos y faciles de acerlos de hecho si no te salen como son ahi una forma mas facil de hacerlos, las peleas de torres clasico de estos juegos de mortal kombat esta muy bien estructurado en fin si te gusta este tipo de genero te recomiendo que te compres esta version.

One of the best fighting games out there. Don't know why people gave it four stars, game works, all the dlcs and skins are available as described so 5 stars for me. If you're just blindly buying games and then bitching about how it sucks, I suggest you check gameplays of games before you buy them.
