I’m a sucker for beautiful color so this puzzle caught my eye and I totally enjoyed putting it together. The black background makes most of the images pop and I love the look. Only issue was the bottom dark purple and black animals. I had to use my phone’s flashlight to get enough direct light to put together the dark pieces - though better eyes might not have any issues (I’m one that has my phone’s brightness turned all the way up! Lol!) The puzzle pieces are very sturdy and mostly fit well together. There were a few tricky ones that threw me for a bit (mostly in the dark areas of the bottom). The feel of the paper on the pieces and the box is excellent - that matte finish silky feel - love it! The box size is great and fits the 1000 large-ish puzzle pieces nicely. It’s obviously well thought out and not wasteful. The included picture is a very useful size and excellent image quality. At 1000 pcs, it’s a great puzzle for most puzzlers, and gives lots of successful moments. Honestly for me, it was too easy and I’d love the same image in 2 or 3 thousand pcs more (though the piece size would definitely need to be smaller), but I still enjoyed the process as the image was so unique and beautiful!

So pretty. Elena Essex has grown to be one of my favorite puzzle designers. The designs are beautiful, with a simple design and fresh color. Her more recent puzzles remind me of a grown-up Lisa Frank. The puzzle pieces are a flat matte. The boxes are also beautiful. They follow a standard design format so they look really great when stacked together. For the cheetah/peacock puzzle, the design was actually harder than I thought it would be. I figured it would be fairly easy as there is nice color blocking and easily discernable patterns. However, the patterns were just large enough to barely fit on the piece, so each piece wasn't really that textured. It was fun and beautiful, like all of Elena Essex, with the added bonus of a little more difficulty than I expected. Box: Sturdy, with clear bright images on front and back. Poster: Full-color poster included. The colors in the reference poster are true to the puzzle pieces. Pieces: Matte finish (yay!), sturdy. Very round knobs, which I love. Clear monogamous fit. Just the right amount of snug for it to pass the pickup challenge, but not so tight that they were wedged in place. This is actually really important for a puzzle with a dark background because if you have to pry pieces apart, it can lead to peeling which is very obvious against the black background. Background: Despite having a black background, there were only about two or three pieces in the entire puzzle that were solid black. The animals fill the space so well! Gradient: O.M.G. This is my favorite gradient I've ever done. I love animals and rainbows! The perfect combination of the two. I saved the last and darkest section for the morning when I had good daylight. That section is quite dark, though not as challenging as I feared. Each animal has distinct patterning that makes it easier to determine where pieces go. And it was only the last three rows. I sorted by shape and it took me about 10-15 minutes. Dust: None. As in zero. As in hallelujah. TLDR: Buy. This. Puzzle. It is beautiful, fun, unique, and delightful!

This is my favorite kind of puzzle. I love a gradient rainbow puzzle. Elena Essex is always excellent quality. Thick sturdy pieces snap together tightly. Beautiful vibrant pictures. Not too difficult until you get to the bottom, the purple is a bit hard to see against the black, but not impossible.

High-quality graphics. Good patterns (not aggravatingly difficult, but difficult enough). Good balance between pieces staying together well enough but coming apart easily enough when dismantling.

I received this puzzle for my birthday, and it is my FAVORITE puzzle I have ever done! And I'm no newbie to puzzling. The artwork is truly beautiful, the piece quality is fantastic (virtually NO puzzle dust!), and the gradient is such a fun image to solve. I'm absolutely obsessed and will be buying all the puzzles by Elena.

Very nice puzzle! Beautiful image. The pieces were a nice size. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the fact the some pieces looked like the fit together- really really close - that parts of the puzzle had to be redone. I think some of the pieces were too similar. My family and I worked on it and enjoyed the time together.

The beautiful design sold me, and the high quality will keep me coming back for more. I love the artwork. I'd love the designs on all of the animals and the little details of smaller birds, butterfly, bees, fish. All of it is very detailed. No blurry images to try to distinguish. Zero puzzle dust. Matte finish, so no glare. I do have one complaint, and that's that the images on the listing have bolder,deeper colors, that are easily distinguished. In person , they are closer in color tone. My favorite decor style is bohemian, and this fits perfectly with that vibe. It is more expensive than most, hopefully the price goes down. For me the difficulty level was just what I like. A very enjoyable puzzle.

Lo recomiendo; me gustó mucho el tono oscuro de la imagen. La verdad pensé que iba a ser un rompecabezas relativamente sencillo pero no lo fue, sobre todo la parte de abajo con los colores azul marino.

Quirky artwork and fun pictures - a great puzzle which was a bit of a challenge but not too frustrating.

Ce puzzle est si beau et tellement agréable à faire ! Le dessin est très réussi. Le style patchwork le rend relativement facile à faire. Les animaux sont si mignons !

I really like that you essentially get 13 puzzles in one because of the different sections. Plus, if you get tired of a color, you can just switch to one of the others!
