These Russian Nesting Animal Bear Matryoshka Dolls are adorable. Our four year old grandson loves them and wants to play with them every time he comes to our house, he never seems to tire of them and we got them when he was two and a half. Not sure what the smallest animal is but the tail looks like a rabbit and at 2 " X 1" I suppose it could be a choking hazard if not watched carefully. The paint job on all of the animals is exquisite. The second animal is clearly a blue and white rabbit that comes apart easily and does not stick. The next is a beautifully painted red fox that does not stick together and is not even tight at all. It just falls apart, but that is better for our four small grandkids than the kind that stick together so tightly they are near impossible for them to separate. The final animal, an adorable brown bear and the largest one (at about 6" tall and 3" wide aproximately) does not exactly fall apart, but does come apart at the slightest pull, so none of the pieces stick so hard that they'd be hard for children to separate.....a feature we appreciate. We have other nesting dolls that our grandkids get frustrated with, but they always choose this wild animal combo. The ears on the bear are painted on two tiny separate pieces of wood attached with glue but neatly done and the glue seems very sturdy and done with extreme care that does not take away from the look. It looks very quality and anyone using this as a gift should be proud to give or receive. I would buy again, and do recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Kid friendly (not too scary) but perfect as a gift or Halloween decoration. Halloween or dia de los muertos. Bought this as a birthday gift for my sister whose bday is a few days before Halloween. Love the color combo and the number of nesting dolls. Quality feels good. Pieces fit tight but are easy to pull apart. Good buy for the price and came next day !

These are so cute! Well-made, painted beautifully. This set does NOT have the glued on ears or tail, which quickly tears off, but my grandson loves them. They've been dropped several times, but you'd never tell by looking. Sturdy wood nesting pups. Great gift idea!

Not the top quality like the more expensive ones. Price and quality match. Nice winter theme, colorful.

Very cute but I bought for my grandbaby and they are hard to pull apart and the smallest one could be a choking hazard.

I'm still giving it 5 stars because I am very pleased with the quality of the wood, the thickness and sturdiness, and the attractive and complete paint job. It's actually a very nice product and not flimsy in any way. However, the dolls did not fit together when received (could be a manufacturing issue, could be that the wood absorbed some humidity, etc.)This did not bother me, since being too large to fit together is much more easily solved than if the pieces were too loose, which I've had happen with other nesting dolls. So I sanded the insides of a few pieces (which was easy to do since they are thick wood and won't fall apart) and now they fit together.

Really bad quality. One of the nesting dolls couldn't even be forced together, one side was round and the other side was oval. The rest of the nesting dolls were a really tight fit, too hard for a kid to get apart and put together.
