The plus of this split as it does an excellent job preventing or at least., minimizing "trigger figure" while being worn. Once the split is removed, trigger finger may continue but at the minimum, it helps a lot during sleep. On the negative side, unless you have a perfect fit, these are not comfortable. They don't come in half sizes. I can still sleep at night but I feel it, unless my "piggy" finger shrinks a bit. For a digital finger, it fits perfectly and is a pleasure to wear.
