Excellent Cleaning Fluid
The GrooveWasher cleaning fluid in their Record Cleaning System is excellent. For most cases it is all you need, but it's important to use it correctly. Here's what I've found works well: 1. Start by laying the record flat, preferably on the GrooveWasher 'Splash' Record Cleaning Mat, or directly on your turn table. 2. Place the label protector over the label. 3. Generously spray the record with the cleaner; the small bottle that comes with this kit won't last long, so plan to purchase one of the 32 fl oz GrooveWasher G2 Record Cleaning Fluid Refills. 4. Wait! Give the liquid a couple of minutes to soak down into the record's grooves. This is key, and without waiting you're not going to get the deep clean that you were hoping for. 5. After waiting for a couple of minutes the liquid will have dispersed, making the record look all glassy; see the photo attached to this review. The liquid has a viscosity lower than water, so coverage should be 100%. 5. Using the short end of the cleaning sponge gently wipe back and forth over the record surface, working in thirds. Rotate the record as you go. 6. Once you've mopped up most of the fluid, turn the sponge 90 degrees and use the long side to wipe around the record a couple of times. 7. Don't stop! Go back and repeat steps 3 to 6. 8. Your record is now clean, and ready to play. If upon playing the record it doesn't sound great, use the sponge to wipe around the record again; you likely don't need to use any more spray. 9. If the record continues to sound bad, just go back and repeat steps 3 to 6. These steps have worked great for me with records that have not been played for over 30 years. Good luck. This product comes highly recommended.

A MUST Buy!!
I was a little hesitant at first because of how my dad taught me to clean records and well heโs my dad and heโs โold schoolโ - I bought a BUNCH of records at a yard sale and really needed to clean them before I played them (see added pic for example). Iโm going to be honest - I was SHOCKED - the first record I cleaned was a Tina Turner record we had previously played that was โacceptableโ to be played as it wasnโt so dirty - once I cleaned it I popped it into the record player and WOW - it was such PURE sound as if it was the same as the day it was pressed - Iโm NOT joking. My husband โthe skepticโ was really impressed. So I tackled a pretty grungy record next and WOW - even the minor scratches didnโt skip! So Iโm really IMPRESSED!! I was looking hard for a record cleaning solution and I DEFINITELY found one - now I need a refill (LOL). Also the cleaning pad is super amazing too - I have tiny hands but it fits perfectly in them. If anything Iโd recommend getting TWO sets of the pads one for cleaning and one for drying - that way you have one handy. Iโm going back to get a few sets and some oil for the needle.

No magic bullet.
I've been collecting vinyl records for over 35 years and even have a record store for brief period. I've had expensive self-cleaning units with a vacum. I have tried them all and even Elmers glue (not recommended). I would say this is one of the better solutions that I've used. It's easy to use and seems safe to use. I would say once you have a record with clicks and pops, there's nothing to get them out 100%.

Son of Disc Washer
Perfect replacement for the Disc Washer i bout in 1979 for my first turntable. Picks up a lot of dust off your record. Not as good as ultrasonic or bath cleaners but does the job for a lot less

Works well
I converted my analog to digital so used it quite a bit. Removed dust and foreign particles from the 33s. I am somewhat of a audiophile and the albums have only been played a couple times so this might not be a true test but it worked for me.

Product and customer support both great
I've used this on multiple LPs, often on ones that were purchased from a thrift store. (My own collection of LPs usually just need a quick treatment with an anti-static brush.) The fluid and applicator work great; a definite step up from the old Discwasher days. The chemistry of the fluid was clearly chosen with care. I had some technical questions regarding the type of application device, and GrooveWasher's customer support responded quickly with a detailed response.

Record cleaner system
Cleaned up my albums (many as old as 45 years) nicely. Still going through the many albums that have been boxed for many years. I purchased a turntable and am having fun playing fully each album after the cleaning.

Very effective product, some manufacturing issues
I bought this as a gift. They have a massive record collection as do I. I use this kit to bring those hand-me-down records back to life. I give it 4 stars because GrooveWasher is known to have "leaky" products. You buy it and the bottle of fluid is just empty. Maybe spruce up the QC. Other than that, great product.
