great alternate to the name brand, saves money and does the same job.

The case is highly necessary for anyone like me who does footage underwater. It snaps together around the GoPro easily and is helpful to keep the camera watertight and dry. Be sure to have the seals correctly aligned as they have moved once on me and I noticed this before diving in. The buttons work well and I can switch through the modes easily when filming. The lens cover does need to be cleaned now and then but overall has been much clearer than I expected. Worth the purchase to keep your camera protected.

This protective housing gets the job done exactly as expected and gave me total peace of mind while using my GoPro in the ocean. It feels solid, well-built, and easy to use, and I trust it completely to stay leak-free even in deeper water. I used it during an experience in Hawaii where I got to swim with manta rays, and it ended up being one of the most unforgettable moments I’ve ever experienced! Being able to record them gliding through the water up close without worrying about my camera made the whole experience even more special. Made of plastic material, the housing was simple to mount, secure, and didn’t add much bulk, which made it easy to handle while swimming. Everything stayed sealed the entire time perfectly, and I feel like the image quality was incredible! If you’re doing any kind of underwater filming or travel adventures, this is a must-have accessory. It let me focus on the moment instead of worrying about my gear and gave me peace of mind.

We had issues with our GoPro because we used it initially without a case. After just a few uses we noticed the damage the salt water was having on the unit. We ended up having to send it off for replacement. When we got the refurbished unit we used it exclusively with this housing and have had zero issues. The salt water is just so corrosive and without the extra housing we found it was damaging the main camera. Worth the purchase 100%.

The case seems well made for what it is, and should provide additional protection for the GoPro camera when doing water activities. The closing/opening mechanism seems quite secure which gives confidence that the housing will be water-tight as long the rubber on the seal is in good condition and not dirty. However, the buckle (the black plastic piece you attach with a thumb screw to the hooks on the bottom so you clip it into a mount) included with this housing is the shorter version offered by GoPro. Due to the shape of the housing, this shorter buckle cannot be rotated into a vertical position. This effectively means that with the included buckle you can only clip the housing into horizontal orientation mounts . The housing can not be used in a vertically oriented mount, such as the GoPro chest strap I am planning to frequently use the housing with, when using the included buckle. GoPro also does not sell the necessary taller buckles individually. You can only get a extra taller buckle with the GoPro "Grab Bag" which includes a lot of other stuff I don't need and costs nearly half as much as this whole protective housing.

This is a typical product from GoPro and compared to my other non branded items the build quality is evident. The hinge is secure, the door is sturdy and the locking mechanism gives you the faith that putting your new hero 10 camera into your new purchase was the right choice before you start a dive.

Voor de dure GoPro gebruik ik bij het diep duiken, 30 tot 40 meter, enkel de originele behuizing. Bij het snorkelen en tot een meter of 5 durf ik (goedkope) imitatie te gebruiken. De kwaliteit en afwerking van deze behuizing is echt beduidend beter dan de goedkopere behuizingen. Di e zijn leuk voor een enkele duik en bij snorkelen voor een extra bescherming. Als je de behuizing heel vaak en langdurig nodig hebt dan koop je de originele.
