how is the buttocks support on this chair? my butt gets really sore in previous chairs and want a chair that i can sit in for 5-8 hrs with butt help

Taylor my friend I hope this butt help doesn't come to late. But let me tell you about a year ago I started a new job working from home on the computer and almost always work more than 8 hours a day, my butt was in a sorry shape until I decided to bite the money bullet and spend my tax returns on this chair. It's one of the best investments I've ever made. This chair makes my butt feel like its floating on a wizards pillowcase filled with a million magical butterflies even after 10 hours. Lets put it this way, my eyeballs get burnt out from staring at a monitor long before my buttocks even have a hint of blowing out.

Is the chair comfortable for a very petite person? I am 4’9”

I'm 6'2 but my wife is 4'6 and loves my chair. It's very adjustable and you can draw the seat in so that your legs comfortably hang off no matter how high you need to sit. They might not touch the ground still :)

What is the width between the armrests when in the "closest" position

The arm rests have several degrees of movement. You can "squeeze" them both medial (closer) as well as pivot them. So the measurements I qoute are the "front medial edge" and "back medial edge", quoted in meters, measured with laser. all measurements taken with armrests in full forward slide (this will make the minimums their smallest, but the maximums will be smaller than their true max.Fully closed and inward pivot= .26 front/ .52 backFully closed and outward pivot = .38 front/.44 backFully opened and inward pivot = .7 front/.65 backFully opened and outward pivot = 1.15 front/.57 backFor a touch of clarity: when fully closed, the full outward pivot makes them perpendicular. How does this chair fair with lounging positions? For instance kicking back and watching netflix? I'm sure it's great for tasking, but the other side?

As Judas stated, this is not a good chair for lounging. All you have to do is read the answers to questions on a recliner lock, there isn't one. There is a lock with 4 positions for adjusting the angle the chair can recline to but you cannot lock the chair into a reclining position which makes it not a good lounging chair. I have had this chair around a week. Really love it except for the lack of this one feature. Thankfully, I'm using it most for work.
