Bought two packs of Danny,s Christmas chocolate gift boxes for our two grandsons and they loved the taste and how big the choc bars are . We thought they were very good value for money and tasted good .

OK for stocking fillers, but mediocre chocolate
I bought these as a last minute 'extra' for some gift bags for adults (thinking "bit more grown up than the usual chocolate figures"), and also wanted to support what I'm assuming is a smaller business... in hindsight though I wish I'd stuck with the traditional swag. The bars in their sleeves look very festive and nicely presented, with a Santa, reindeer, or snowman motif - but I had a spare bar so decided to treat myself, and found the chocolate itself really quite disappointing. Given the description/ blurb/ ingredients I was expecting it to be really tasty chocolate - but it actually tastes exactly like supermarket own brand, very average quality chocolate - I.e. think somewhere between tesco budget milk chocolate and cooking chocolate, and you'll get an idea of the taste and texture. It's not horrible, but it's not... good. Granted £9something for 9 bars is pretty good pricing for what it is, but for an extra 50p or so, unless you need to buy a lot, it's definitely better "value" to opt for the traditional Cadbury Santa/ lindt reindeer. Their chocolate is waaaaay nicer, far more enjoyable, and doesn't leave a weird chemical aftertaste. So yeah - fine for a stocking filler but definitely not one I'd buy again, and based on the very basic taste, not a brand I would buy from in future.
