Noise?
I purchased mine in April 2019 and it still works like new. All I do is clean it now and then. I have never heard it make any noise either.

Must have for couples
If you and your significant other are using the same toothbrush handle, but different heads, this additional device is a must have. Gives you a place to neatly store both a handle and two heads, and also has the added benefit of sanitizing the heads after you’re done brushing. I wish they had not stopped making it.

Mirror replacement.
As a replacement for a Phillips just like this it was perfect and we're very happy.

Works OK But…
I purchased this toothbrush sanitizer for my husband because he needed a replacement. He accidentally dropped it into the toilet but that’s another story. What I like is the sanitizer compartment that can hold two toothbrush heads. What I don’t like is that the charger tip on the base doesn’t hold the toothbrush securely enough. Further, the sanitizer chamber should be tweaked to automatically begin sanitizing as soon as the toothbrush head is placed inside. It’s easy to forget to press the button on top to begin the cycle.

brand new, oem bulk pack
this seems like its a replacement part, not meant to be bought directly by consumers, but by 'repair centers'. then, sold as a mark-up to consumers when they send in their broken unit for repair and this is returned to them. instead, we consumer can buy this directly and save a lot of money. I don't know what this costs, new, but I'd guess its double or more. for under $50, you get a uvc bulb system (3watt, standard screw base bulb used in other germicidal products, even ones unrelated to this) and a Qi style (not qi but wireless) charger that works for all philips toothbrushes that use that style of charger 'stub' interface. (single 18650 li-ion cell inside, btw, so that 3.7-4.2v) mine came brand new, in plastic oem bag, bulb inside was new, no dust, not a customer return. it seems some reviewers got bad units - I'd blame the seller. the unit is fine and if you get a new one from a good seller, that's perfect. my story: during the 2020 march crisis, I was looking for some uvc solutions for a DIY project. the uvc lights need ballast systems and they are not just 'plug in' to 120vac or anything like that. this is a known working system and I planned to buy it, tear it apart and use its parts for a project. however, when I got it, it was so nice and new I decided to see what its main purpose was all about - never having used this kind of thing before. it prompted me to buy a matching style brush base ('handle') and some brushes; the lowest price philips I found find here, which was under $50, also. total investment so far, $100 or less; but you get something closer to a $200 system since only the top end models have this UV cage base thing. I also tried a 2nd brush handle; a 'gum health series 3' model that has 3 manual speeds. I prefer that, as the lower speeds are easier, at least when you are starting out with this system. I could not find the series-3 unit at amazon so had to find that elsewhere (also under $50, usually). so, long story (not short), I found this product by a search for its key component, planned to take it apart and use it for some DIY project but ended up keeping it and using it for its intended purpose. its been in use a few weeks now and while no consumer can say, for sure, if the uvc system is 'working', I do believe it does work (trusted uvc bulb that is very close to bristles when the system is setup and turned on).

Lasts one year… MAX
This is the 3rd or 4th of these I’ve purchased for our Sonic care. Poor quality across the board. They either come broken or last about a year (9 months on this one). Literally just a charger and light that turns on and their engineers can’t figure out how to make it last longer than that (or planned obsoletion?).

Lasted a long long time. So glad to find this 1!
I’m sorry Phillips has discontinued this item & was happy to find this replacement. I don’t think there’s anything comparable on the market and who wants your toothbrush collecting all the germs that are flying by 😉

Perfect product. I bought 2 to replace the originals. Works perfectly; workmanship is excellent. No way to tell whether it’s an original product or knockoff; doesn’t really matter.

Awesome. Gave new life to my old sonicare as I'd lost the charger. THe cleaner for the brush head is a sweet bonus.

Works great! At first I thought the bulb wasn't working, but it just wasn't placed properly, so as soon as I did that it worked like a charm. :)

I use this every day, and I feel better storing my brush heads somewhere protected from gross bathroom debris. However the UV bulb is fritz in out after about 4 months, where it sometimes decides to not work when I press the On button, unless I press it in a very particular way (and it's never the same!) Still a great value for the price though, if your original brush didn't come with it in the package.
