I never realized how much odor my stove hood took care of when cooking. It was part of my over range microwave, and when that broke, I removed it. I'm slowly doing a kitchen remodel on a small budget, so I haven't replaced it yet. The cooking odors are so bad, I was desperate to find something to get rid of the smells while I decide how to replace the old range hood. I pulled out my old air purifier but it was DIRTY. I ordered this filter and VOILA! Fixed my problem. I purchased this mid-winter, when opening windows is only feasible for a minute or two. I'm not using it to catch airborne grease, but just for lingering odors. I put a couple drops of essential oils on it just for fun and that has been an amazing upgrade.
