After thinking about it for a few days I've decided to update my review and make it 5 stars. The reason is two fold. First off, the build quality on this thing is astounding especially for the price. We just had the worst storm in decades blow through with -15f temps. I left it in the car overnight. When I got up in the morning my entire car was encased in ice. Many things in my car had frozen and split from the cold. I was worried I would find the charger destroyed. But it just worked flawlessly. The second reason is that I found a competing product at Walmart. For twice the price I expected it to be twice as good ,so I bought it and tried it in my other vehicle. In actuality the quality of the Walmart one was so bad that it broke within a day and wouldn't hold my phone. It also didn't charge nearly as fast as this one does despite being labeled 25W. If that's the current state of these things then this model needs 6 stars. All things considered my initial review was too harsh, this is a wonderful little product easily worth 2x the price. My apologies if I turned anyone off with my previous review. I've left my old review in place because the bit about mislabeling appears to be true, but now I wonder if it's the plastic that's mislabeled because my phone does appear to be using fast charging when connected. OLD REVIEW BELOW ************************ I like most of this product. However I bought it because it says quite clearly that it supports 15W fast charging. It says this on the ad, it says it on the box. However the product itself says it has a max draw of 5V @ 2A. That means this product can in theory put out 10W max. More likely than not it will come in at 8W, since there are some losses. In either aspect it is NOT 15W. Everything else about this product is great! I love how it snugly holds the phone in place. I think the automatic arms are super nice. The product is great! It's just not a quick charger.

I am very pleased with this CHGeek Wireless Car Charger, 15W Fast Charging Auto Clamping. This charger is very good quality and was easy to set up and install. I tried the vent clip on (it worked good that way) but I like the suction cup the best. It has a strong suction and stays in place wonderfully. I love that it has a simple one press mechanism to remove it when I need to hold my phone in hand. It charges fairly quickly so that is a plus also. You can always purchase a faster charging cord if you are looking for a lightening speed charge but it works great for me. This is definitely worth the money and now my son is wanting me to order him one as he likes it much better than his current one. I highly recommend this if you are looking for good quality, performance, and affordable price.

It took me a while to pick out a charger for my jeep. When I first got it, I didn’t think the buttons on the side worked to open the sides of the charger to insert the phone. They do -,you just have to have it plugged in and they work automatically when you hit the button. Great feature! The button takes a little getting used to on the side of the phone, but works great. The phone charger also has good grip. My dashboard on my jeep is slightly textured, but the section cup on the stand seems to be adhering well. I wish that the phone dropped down lower from my dashboard. The arm on the charger is adjustable. It just doesn’t go down as low as I would like. All in all a very good product so far. I just put it on yesterday. It was also very easy to set up.

I am happy to have bought this. It was the best one I could see for any reasonable price. It feels like aluminum - pretty solid but light and prevents heat buildup. I compared phone holders for over an hour looking unsuccessfully for faster charging, verifying a firm hold of the horizontal air vents among other things. I preferred a red/maroon color and I got what is pictured - but for the black glassy part - that is matte maroon, not a classy. I like the smooth open/closing and how it auto-centers and straightens the phone on the charger while leaving my headphone jack accessible. Yeah, we're old, my car and I. I haven't tried the sticky base. It looks functional but I live in the souther US - few adhesives do not yield to the unrelenting heat. So I chose the vent attachment to avoid ill-timed surprises. The vent hooks are really solid - a twist clasp holds them shut much more effectively and maintenance free than a spring clasp. In fact, I'm convinced that the vent flap will break before the hooks release (for better or worse). However, this phone cleverly provides a flat base that sits against the vent, spreading the load somewhat to reduce the strain. I have seen a video showing where the ball was not well attached in the moulding process, but it appears solid on my charger. The charging face locks into place and doesn't droop if you tension the locking nut. The phone charging works fine. Some people complain that it's not as fast as a home Qi charger, but 15W is the performance ceiling at this point in time, from what I can see. Likely the 12V cigarette port is the limiter, not the device. Mine did bump the phone charge while it was playing music and GPSing. The auto-close / auto-open when I turn the car off and on is spotty but a real pleasure when it works. It will open when I press both buttons, even after the car engine is turned off so I don't begrudge it. This phone holder/charger is probably one of the top choices out there at the moment (mid 2024). I recommend it.
