Do you have to attach the strings to the masts and smokestacks yourself?

Well, you could probably pay someone else to do it if you don't want to, but the bottom line is yes, the funnel stays and mast rigging must be attached by the builder.

This is an advanced and detailed model kit intended only for display once built. It does not float.

Does the premium wood deck come with the model? Also what supplies is needed to build it?

A premium wood deck isn't included with this kit, if you want one, you must buy it as an aftermarket piece. That said, because the simulated planking moulded into the plastic decks is so clunky, I would recommend getting one of the aftermarket deck sets.

What colors of paint needed for this????

The instructions inside the kit provides a full listing of recommended paints. This is a kit for the advanced model builder.
