English Lavender by Yardley of London for Women Eau De Toilette Spray, 1.7 Ounce

The product arrived in the expected time frame, was well packaged, and, best of all, smells wonderful!

Bought for my wife for her birthday she is very happy with it.

I bought the Yardley Lavender spray hoping it was the same I knew years ago. The scent is different I find it hard to smell the lavender in this fragrance. But, it is a nice fragrance.

I wanted something soft, feminine, and light for the summer months, and I remembered Yardley's Old English Lavender Soap from many years ago. I could not find it in stores locally, so of course I checked Amazon. I was delighted to find the soap, and I was even more delighted to find the Eau de Toilette, which I had not used before. It arrived yesterday, and I spritzed it on after my evening bath with the soap. I am very pleased with this purchase. The fragrance is just as I remember it from thirty or more years ago. It is very soft, very feminine, and very light. This is not a scent that will overpower you or anyone around you. The sillage is perhaps one to two feet. The scent is not very long lasting (it had disappeared by morning), but it is very pleasant for a few hours, especially if you apply it liberally. If you apply it in the a.m., you will probably want to reapply it after lunch. If you apply it before bed, it will get you through the night just fine. I gave it four out of five stars because it is not long lasting. Yardley Old English Lavender is such a wonderfully simple, gentle, sweet, and demure scent. If only more things in life could be so nice and so uncomplicated.

Does not smell anything close to the original. I wanted Lavender. This is a blend of I don’t know what. Smells more like men’s cheap cologne. Actually irritates my eyes. After washing it off, I gave the bottle to my husband. I am done with looking for scents of yesteryear, I guess you can’t go back!

I have known about this product for ages, and ages! It is that old....!! But is remains true to the original smell of clean fresh Lavender, that made it a favorite throughout several countries , and generations!! People, often ask me what is the name of the perfume I am wearing, because it smells so clean, and is not offensive. I am glad the English people are not swayed by the wave of fashions, and kept this item alive!! It is cheap, but it does not smell like it is!

I bought this for me and its subtle scent has turned some heads. Everyone thinks is a very expensive parfum. Love it.

Also ich habe mir das Eau de Toilette vor ca. einer Woche bestellt - es hat etwas länger gedauert bis es da war da es ja aus England kam. Der Gerucht ist wirklich Lavendel - so wie ich es wollte. Lavendel mit Sandelholz, wie es auf der Packung steht. Die Flüssigkeit ist auch nicht lila gefärbt wie es bei den meistens Industrieprodukten der Fall ist (siehe Duft- oder Raumspray). Mir gefällt es recht gut. Allerdings habe ich das Gefühl der Duft verfliegt nach einiger Zeit. Bzw ist nicht mehr so intensiv - das kann natürlich auch daran liegen das sich die eigene Nase daran gewöhnt hat nach einiger Zeit. Trotzdem finde ich es gut!

Mi madre lleva utilizando esta colonia desde hace 20 años y como ya no la distribuyen en España la compre en Amazon, no huele como la de siempre, un olor totalmente distinto.
