Genuinely impressive. Really effective and easy to use.
This is a worthy replacement for my old, corded detail sander. I am really impressed with it. My old detail sander was corded, and I have retired it now because now I've used this battery one, I realise how annoying the cable was. I'll be honest, aside from cordless drills, I haven't really used battery tools much. Fitting a kitchen recently opened my eyes to how far battery technology has come in the last few years. For most small jobs there is just no need to use a corded tool. Battery tools are far more convenient, and in some cases safer, as there is no cable to get tangled in, trip over or cut through. I gave this a pretty major test on Sunday. The kitchen I installed has solid oak counter tops, and there was quite a lot left over. Mrs. Z has given me permission to use it on the benches in my workshop, instead of the old MDF. I had to join a couple of pieces to get a long enough run, and naturally there was a slight step where the two pieces met. I hand-planed most of it level (I'm old-school like that, plus I have a lovely, 100+ year-old No.7 Try plane that's perfect for that sort of thing), and finished the job off with the battery sander. First off, the sanding sheets / pads / papers or whatever you call them that come with it are really good. Second, the vibrating action is far more vigorous than my corded sander. It really gets to work and I was instantly impressed. To answer a question I see being asked: Yes, you CAN fit bigger batteries than the 2AH. The sander has a small dust collection box fitted to the back, under the battery slot. With that in place you can only fit a 2AH battery. The dust box slides off, and inside there is a tube where you can fit a vacuum cleaner or dust extractor hose - or just leave it open and blast dust everywhere. I have fitted a 4AH battery with no trouble at all. I suggest that if you are doing enough sanding to need a full 4AH battery, you also need to use a vacuum dust extractor! It's a bit heavy with the big battery. To be perfectly honest, while it will take bigger batteries than 2AH, that's the size with which it's most manageable and convenient. I'm quickly learning that the expensive part of battery-powered tools is the battery. If you are buying this as your only Einhell tool, it's a bit expensive as you will need a battery and charger. If you already have those, then it's a very reasonable price. I'm really impressed with this sander. It's far better than my old one. While it might not be up to 'trade' standards, for the enthusiastic DIY and guitar workshop use it will get, it's perfect.

Powerful little sander
What’s not to love? This is another example of Einhell professional quality at DIY prices. This little sander is impressively powerful and straight out of the box, with a freshly charged interchangeable 2Ah battery, it worked a treat, sanding more efficiently than my Bosch corded version! The dust box isn’t all that good, but I don’t use it as I have my dust extraction going through a hepa filtered wet and dry vacuum. In lots of cases the cordless tools lose out on versatility as in they’re a bit bigger and less simple to get into tighter corners. Not this one, it gets into the less accessible areas nicely. What I like about Einhell products is that spares, like the sanding pad mount are easily available as are other spares like bearings which will wear out after extended use. As a matter of personal and professional choice, I always thoroughly cleaned my tools after use and a quick blast with the air gun on my compressor illustrates that even the effective dust collection system on this sander allows a certain amount into the motor bay. Keep them clean and dry and these examples of German excellence will serve you well.

Good little sander
Good little sander1 2.0 battery last all day with a bar to spare dust extraction terrible shoots out the sides with about 1 % going in the dust collector but other than that I am well pleased with it

Great sander that doesn't shake your hands off !
So many of these palm sanders vibrate to the point where your hands go numb. The Einhell TE-OS 18/150 doesn't ! Before you even open the box you can feel from the weight that it's a quality product. It is quite a bit heavier than the old corded Black & Decker it has replaced but I don't mind that as it gives you that bit extra control without the tool bouncing around all over the place. I also like the dust collection box on the back, which can be removed for attachment of a vacuum cleaner hose but that kind of defeats the idea of being cordless :) The velcro type sanding pads stay in place and do the job perfectly well. For it's first use, it has sanded down an old garden bench which was covered in years of moss and dirt and was then repainted. Sanding took no time at all and I used only 3 pads to sand the entire bench. The only minor gripe I have with this product (and it is only minor) is that the 3Ah batteries I use are a couple of millimetres too deep to fit the sander with the dust box attached so in order to use them, the dust box has to be removed. This means that only the smaller batteries can be used, per se. Overall though, a super product that does exactly what it should.

Excellent cordless sander for precision sanding
Already having a few Einhell power tools and the associated batteries, means it was a no brainer buying an orbital sander that used the same battery system. I think the 3Ah is the biggest battery you can use, I used a 2.5Ah battery it isn’t too heavy to use and leaves a gap between the battery and the dust collector. Not having a trailing mains cable and extension cable is a massive win for this sander, it allows you to use it easily up ladder on window frames and swapping hands is easy but is quite chunky to hold. It is single speed and so can be quite aggressive on sanding if you are a course sheet. The hook and loop sanding sheets are held firmly in place and the dust extracting bag does a reasonable job of collecting dust. Excellent value for money and provides convenient, detailed sanding.
