Works with my Windows laptop and iPad Air 4. Truth be told, the limiting factor is the speed of the 64GB Sandisk Extreme memory cards that I use. I've seen read speeds as high as ~140 MB/s and write speeds of ~60 MB/s which is the fastest I've ever been able to read and write to those cards. My previous reader topped out @ ~90 MB/s reads and ~45 MB/s writes. A solid little unit to pack with you when you need to get files on (and off) fast.

The micro SD card reader looks well designed and works well. Most laptops have the usual connections for cables but few have slots for both MicroSD cards and/or SD Cards. This card reader solves the problem for those units without the card slots. It works very well but was not tested to see if it would work for many card changes. For most users it should be just fine for the times when you want to download software or images to the computer.

It says in multiple areas that the supports transfer speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second. When you open the manual it says it supports that, but it only supports reading cards at up to 140 MB/s. Considering the only thing that this unit does is read cards, that would make the transfer speed 140MB/s. Approx 1/35 of the advertised speed. Sure, USB 3.0 is capable of that, but just because you have a USB 3.0 connector does not make your device capable of those speeds. That being said, if you have a UHS 2 or UHS 3 micro SD card then you'll be stuck wondering why your capped at 140MB/s.

Lo primero que me llamó la atención es el acabado en aluminio, que le da una sensación de producto duradero y bien construido. A diferencia de otros lectores muy baratos de plástico que he tenido, este de UGREEN transmite confianza: los conectores encajan con firmeza y no hay esa sensación de “blando” al insertar las tarjetas o conectarlo al dispositivo. La compatibilidad es otro punto fuerte: funciona perfectamente con móviles y tablets modernos, desde iPhone con adaptador USB-C a iPad Pro, MacBook Pro o Air, así como con dispositivos Android como la serie Galaxy S24 y S25. Con mi iPhone 17 Pro Max el reconocimiento es inmediato y sin ninguna configuración adicional: conectas, elige la foto o archivo que quieres y se transfiere en segundos. La comodidad de uso es sobresaliente. No es necesario instalar ninguna app ni drivers: simplemente conectas el lector, introduces la tarjeta SD o Micro SD y el sistema la reconoce al instante. Para fotógrafos, creadores de contenido o incluso para viajes, es fantástico poder descargar directamente las fotos de la cámara sin pasar por el ordenador. El rendimiento también me ha parecido muy bueno para el precio. Las velocidades de lectura y escritura dependen, claro, de la tarjeta que uses, pero en general la transferencia de archivos grandes es fluida y sin interrupciones. El único “pero” que puedo ponerle es que no tiene múltiples ranuras simultáneas activas, es decir, si tienes una SD y una Micro SD puestas a la vez, normalmente tendrás que cambiar entre una y otra según el dispositivo. Para muchos usuarios esto no será un problema, pero merece la pena saberlo si sueles usar varias a la vez. En resumen, este lector UGREEN cumple con creces lo que promete: es ligero, compatible con una amplia gama de dispositivos USB-C, fácil de usar y con buen acabado, todo a un precio muy ajustado. Si necesitas un lector de tarjetas fiable para tu móvil, tablet o portátil, este adaptador da exactamente lo que esperas: funcionalidad sin complicaciones y resultados consistentes. Definitivamente ha pasado a formar parte de mi kit de viaje y trabajo diario.

Il fonctionne très bien, le design est très sobre donc se fond bien dans la continuité de l’ordinateur. De plus, il se connecte très rapidement et vous permet de faire vos démarches assez vite !

Great for anyone looking for transferring data fast from SD to Mac/iPad or any other Type C supported Dev. It’s the kind of a product you feel proud to own. Great quality and reliability! The material is just impeccable. I love the woven cable, you can trust the build quality. The moment you hold the reader it’ll be cold showing the efficiency of the material used for the casing to tackle heat during heavy transfers. This is a value for money product. If it were by Apple this same product could have been priced anywhere around ₹7-8K but thanks to UGREEN that’s not the case :)
