Delmonte Foods 799272 Gravy Train Dry For Dogs, 35-Pound

Our 6 year old German Shepherd was a rescue that started out with Parvovirus. He is thin and a picky eater but really likes Gravy Train. Could not find a local retailer that sold it (until recently) so I turned to Amazon and found the Gravy Train. We got a huge bag that lasted until we found a local place. The bag was in good condition and food was fresh. Happy dog!

Very good price but has gone up since then. Our dogs ate it up. Packaged nicely and saved us a trip to the store

I just happen to have 4 dogs and they love the food, put some water In it to make the gravy, and they chow down. However my beagle Is HIGHLY allergic to something in it. She loves the stuff, but breaks out in hot spots, the year I bought it, she literally scratched and chewed her backend RAW, my other 3 seemed to tolerate it it better, For the next month, I had to keep her on a strict diet, and she was NOT happy. She did however like that food better :), just wish it wasn't so expensive. All 4 of them love another brand, but seeing as a 10lb bag costs $25, and wouldn't last a week with all 4 of them. I may have to revisit that decision though. My babies are like my kids, so I guess a little extra $ for them is worth it.

It should be illegal to even sell this horrible dog food. The first two ingredients are corn and soybean meal, which have almost no nutritional value for dogs. The third ingredient is meat and bone meal, a dry “rendered product from mammal tissues, including bone, exclusive of any added blood, hair, hoof, horn, hide trimmings, manure, stomach and rumen contents”. What’s worse, this particular item is anonymous. So, the meat itself can come from any combination of cattle, pigs, sheep or goats — which can make identifying specific food allergens impossible. The rest of the ingredients are fillers including milling dust, floor sweepings, and unidentified "animal fat", which could come from roadkill, spoiled supermarket meat, dead, diseased or dying cattle — even euthanized pets. My dog wasn't even eating this food for a year and she got obese and nearly went blind. When I changed her food to a more natural option she almost immediately regained her health and vision. DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR PET! There are so many healthier options out there for just a few dollars more.

This product uses the least nutritional sources to make it's product...your dog may like it and it may be priced well..but it has low digestibility which means your dog will poop out most of the nutrients he needs

Easy for me and I love easy as I'm not a spring chicken anymore!
