FGO Organic ACAI Powder (Freeze-Dried), 100% Raw Superfood Berry From Brazil, 4oz (Pack of 1)

I like this prouduct because it actually tastes great and similar to fresh acai when used in my smoothies. It leaves a little gritty texture that I enjoy and look for when consuming fresh acai. This lets me know that it is indeed whole acai that was freeez dried and powdered, rather than some type of extract. The powder does taste exactly like what I expected and is not sweet, as expected as well. I am not a freeze dried powder expect, but everything about the powder it self tastes, looks and smells to be of a high quality. Being a product of Brazil, I am happy as my favorite Acai from Sambazon is also from brazil. At 12$ a bag, this will last me alot longer than if I had fresh juice and/or frozen acai. It felt like not the best value for the money, but seeing that I use only about a teaspoon or so in my smoothie and is pretty much all I need. It will last a long way for me. I have not tried it in yogurt or ice cream but based on the smoothie results, this seems perfect. Just wish they offered it in a larger package. The Kraft bag is about the only thing that I would say I "dislike" as I would prefer a jar or something but it probably helps with keeping costs down. So far, in the bag the product has remianed fresh and un-clumped so I guess the packaging is doing its job. If you are looking for a good Acai powder to use, I would suggest trying this one, especially being organic.

I would like to start by saying if I could give this Brand and Product more stars I would. I had purchased this product after reading multiple reviews on the quality of the taste and flavour. After going on a vacation to Hawaii, I became hooked on Acai bowls and decided I wanted to make it at home. Turns out it's super easy. The first product that I found in store was Sambazon frozen packs. What I didn't like about it was the fact that it had to be kept frozen and different berries had already been mixed into the product. The package was also for only 4 uses. The price quickly adds up for someone to have other berries mixed in. After reading about the Acai berry and how it is processed, I realized that frozen was not necessarily better than powder (I also read up on fresh.... Just don't bother unless you live where they grow). I pulled the trigger as my boyfriend would call it and gave this product a shot. As I mentioned before I was nothing but impressed with the powder. In fact, I prefer it to the frozen because I can adjust the flavour and it is significantly less expensive per serving. Since I can adjust the flavour of how much Acai, it tastes much better. I have read that some products have a chalky taste to it. THIS DOES NOT. Aside from the fresh pineapples in Hawaii, I can't tell the difference between my homemade and restaurant served. I am very pleased. Aside from the product, it should also be noted how amazing this company Feel Good is. They truly care about the product that they produce and the quality. After I had received my acai powder, I received an email from the company saying I hope you like our product, if you have any questions or concerns email us. I'm sure most of us Amazon shoppers have seen this email from other companies that we have purchased from in the past. Once receiving the package, I had noticed that the shelf life of the product was not as long as I thought it would be. I had emailed back to inquire about the shelf life out of curiosity. I quickly received an email back from the founder Brad apologizing for the shelf life and also got a refund. I'm not the type of person that is looking for a free deal. I really like this product aside from the date my package expires (it was in a couple months) so I emailed back saying I wasn't looking to be compensated and I would gladly pay for it. The response I got was, "our policy is that we don't want anyone to pay for something that is not 100% perfect. We appreciate that you were generally happy, but we want to work harder to make sure it is 100% perfect for your next time." How can you not support a brand that is so passionate about their product and keeping their customers happy. What truly sets this company apart from others is that they had removed the size I had purchased off their line to ensure that other customers would not have the same concerns as myself. A refund is a quick fix. To go ahead and address my concerns on the rest of your inventory is dedication. Buy this product. It tastes amazing and Feel Good deserves your business!

Just switched from frozen Sambazon (organic, unsweetened) açaí to FGO (Feel Good Organic) freeze-dried açaí powder. Sambazon was not cost effective for me (4 packs/uses) went quickly with daily smoothies and, difficult to adjust the amount. Spent time researching online (sometimes too long!) for the best organic freeze-dried açaí (available on Amazon). FGO açaí brand was rated #1 best açaí on a couple websites. Decided to take the plunge and try FGO. I’m not sorry! It’s tastes great, more cost effective and I can adjust the amount in my smoothie. Pro’s: —Certified Organic, Non-GMO, GMP, Gluten free, Raw (no additives) —Deep rich purple color (no oxidation). True to the fresh açaí berry —Dissolves easily and completely in my smoothie (Variety of uses) —Pleasant taste- not bitter, sweet or grainy —Retains some moisture content- not overly dry —Easy to open and close pouch (see hints at end of review) —Contained in a natural pouch- sturdy paper with lined interior. —Available in different ounces (ordered the 4oz bag- they don’t skimp) —Product of Brazil (sourcing) and packed in U.S. Con’s —Price (more expensive than other freeze-dried brands. But, the quality of this brands açaí berry is superb. Lasts much longer than my previous frozen version). Hint before opening bag: Give bag a good shake- moving powder to bottom of bag. Then, seal the zip top. Gently tear the bag where marked (above zip top) or use scissors. Make sure to open bag over a surface area that won’t stain- açaí berries will stain certain countertops or sinks. Instead of shaking powder from bag into food or smoothie, use a spoon. Reseal bag and place in refrigerator (noted some comments mention they were unable to seal bag after opening or, the açaí powder went everywhere). Some have suggested to transfer the powder to a glass container. I’ve kept mine in its original bag without issue. Also, make sure to refrigerate and close attention to expiration date to ensure great taste.

I like this Acai, that said, I've never ordered a package of acai before. I got this because of the great reviews, it's organic, price and high amounts of antioxidants. I really didn't want to have to use a lot of fruit in my shakes because of the high carb and or calorie content. Yet I wanted the antioxidents and somewhat berry taste and this was perfect. It's only 15 calories per teaspoon! That's pretty cool huh? I didn't know that you're supposed to refrigerate this (I'm going to after this review along with my maca I reviewed) but it says "suggested" doesn't have to be. The expiration day is June of 2019 so I know I'll use it before then. I don't think it has a very strong taste, but if you taste it alone it has a slight berry but when you add it to shakes a definite nice fruity flavor comes out. I am not sure if I will add this to my "arsenal" of ingredients for my "healthy" shakes but I've only used it 5X since I got it so maybe in a few months I'll see more specific benefits from it. I also really believe in preventative medicine and sometimes, even if we cannot see an immediate benefit from something, we never know how it might be just keeping up healthy in a more subtle way. I know for me, I take stuff that is supposed to enhance your immune system and I rarely get sick. Now, if I could just figure out how to sleep more deeply and consistently without RX drugs! Don't get me started....

Updated 6-16 -17 - I received an email today from Feel Good Organics which stated that they will refund the item I purchased. Also, they have generously provided me with a coupon towards my next purchase from their company. Additionally, they let me know that their latest batch of Acai powder available on Amazon has an expiry date of 6-1-2018. I have now given the product 5 stars because the Acai powder is of the highest quality (certified Organic, no fillers, light resistant packaging, expiry date clearly marked on packaging) and I am impressed with the excellent and prompt customer service I received from this company. A big thank you to Feel Good Organics and Amazon for promptly & courteously resolving the issue. I purchased this item last year (9-10-2016) and the best by date is (9-1-2017). I am still using the package I purchased on September 10th, 2016. I recently repurchased this item on June 6th, 2017 since I am running low on this product. The new package of Acai powder has the same best by date (9-1-2017) as the product I ordered last year. I am concerned that I received an old batch of product that will expire in the next 2 months & will have to be disposed. I hope the seller will address this problem. I gave this product 3 stars because the item I ordered last year was as described and the Acai powder was delicious in my smoothies and tasted fresh. I will update this review when l receive information from the seller.

I love this stuff! I went on a trip to San Diego recently, and discovered the Acai bowl. It was the most amazing thing I had ever had. It was like a smoothie in a bowl with whole fruit on top, and of course, drizzled peanut butter. After getting home and looking online, I discovered that there are several different variations of the Acai bowl (use plain greek yogurt, coconut water, coconut flakes, granola, chia seeds, etc etc etc). So many options, and all sounded so delicious. I had to try it. I chose this Acai powder over others because I felt it was a more reputable company. I'm really happy with my choice. The powder is finely ground, so it's very easy to mix in to anything (yogurt, smoothie, acai bowl, juice, etc). There are a lot of different ways to use it and fit it into your daily routine, you just need to Google it! My personal favorite, of course, is the Acai bowl. The taste is delicious, and I feel good about eating it knowing it's good for me. When I have an acai bowl for breakfast in the morning, I can last until lunch without needing a snack. Most of the time, if I just eat a bowl of cereal or have a regular smoothie, I have to eat a snack mid-morning or I just won't make it to lunch. After having the acai bowl with this powder, I feel energized and ready to go. It's good for you, it's organic, and it's delicious. You can't beat that.

Although the Acai powder does have a good taste and good health benefits, and even gives me a little energy, I could only give this brand 3 stars bc there are a couple of takeaways! 1) There's too much moisture in the bag. 2) I had to put the bag of Acai powder in another ziplock bag bc the original bag would not lock. I love my powders but I am very particular about freshness. 3) To shake the lumps out of my daily drink, is a daily exercise routine! It would be too bad to waste the healthy results of your brand of Acai powder bc you refuse to fix those 3 issues. Fix those issues I'll most certainly buy this brand of Acai powder again.
