I use this for painting miniatures. This thing is such a game changer. The light is great, magnification is perfect and the whole thing is sturdy and solid. Folds away easily and looks good.

EDIT: Seller reached out to me and after a couple of emails back and forth decided that the item was defective. Sent a new unit and after testing, I immediately noticed a difference as there was not a very slight high pitched whine. I think I received a defective unit the first go around. With shipping and warehousing I assume a measurable amount of shaking, dropping, and other mishandling occurs. I'm stoked to have this back as it's great for painting. Well done LANCOSC! Original: Loved the product while it worked, seriously. The LED light simply stopped working after a week of use. Didn't mistreat the device or anything, just turned in on 3-4 times for about an hour at a time to paint warhammer miniatures. Reached out to the company directly using the information contained in the packaging with no response. I'd typically return something like this, but frankly it's not worth removing this from my paint station as I had to create a custom mount to make this work. Plus wasting my time and effort driving to the UPS store to return it isn't worth it. I'll update my review if anything changes, but I think I'll remove this when I have some spare time this week and chuck it.

If you're not planning on using this 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, this is a pretty decent choice. The cord is definitely short, and it's obviously repurposed from a basic camera ringlight, with the color balance control and USB power. But it has a nice range of brightness, and gets bright enough to use. The lens is nice and sharp and crisp without any significant waviness or color distortion. The metal parts and hinges and so on are definitely built down to a price. Things are going to loosen up and bend eventually. However, it looks like it is made with decent quality nuts and bolts, and the metal is thick enough, and things are made well enough that as long as you're reasonably gentle with it, it should last for a while, and be easy enough to keep going for a while longer. If the magnifier is something you're going to need to use all the time then you're probably better off finding something better. However, if you just need one sometimes for basic home projects and hobbies, this one is not bad at all. I've seen far, far worse for not much cheaper.

very easy to put together and use. the light can get very bright and the adjustable brightness make it very easy to get just the right amount of light. the glass came dirty but that was easy to take care of with some windex and the included cleaning cloth. it closes up tightly so when not needed it can be swung out of the way. the only issue I found is that the brightness switches are reversed. so when you push the switch with the up arrow it dims the light and when pushing the down arrow it brightens the light, minor issue and not a big deal to me.

Just it and I love it. Love the size and the different light shades. I work with 1/72 scale Models, so I need a lot of light and a great deal of magnification to do the detail work I want to do. I have been using a much older and larger magnifying glass and light. It was time I up-graded. I had my old one for about 30 years.

I have been using an Ott light for over a year above my head to see my knitting. It gets hot. So looked for something that could be clamped to the table next to me. It does not heat up nearly as much as the Ott light did. The little light switch has several buttons were you can change the kind of light you might want. Things I would change. I wish the cord was a wee bit longer but that's about it. I use my lamp for hours and hours everyday. Very happy with it.

I like this product. It is perfect for working at my work desk and the variable lighting is a very nice touch. Note that the arms are only 15" long as specified in the description. This makes the unit unsuitable for mounting in the rear corner of a corner desk. It mounts up front perfectly however and comes into my work area from the side. My unit did arrive with a piece of one of the tightening knobs broken off (the knob that tightens the whole unit to the clamp) but I'm not giving it back for a replacement. That's how much I like it.
