This recycling tool works incredibly well. From storing used capsules to pressing out used grounds and rinsing remaining aluminum capsules, Dualit has created an easy to use and effective product for handling coffee capsules. We use the grounds in our compost for our garden beds and the empty and clean aluminum capsules go back to Nespresso via the mail in return program.

This is awesome! No more having to open the coffee capsules by hand. This is so efficient. One push and the capsule is opened, turned inside out to allow easy cleaning of the grounds. Would make a great gift for the original style Nespresso or specialty coffee capsule drinker.

We tried using the official + free recycling bags from Nespresso but very quickly found that they had serious issues with mold development in the bags and decided to try this instead of a direct alternative to the bags like a bin or canister collector. We also wanted to be able to collect our spent grounds for our compost. So far, we've found this tool to be very easy to use, though you kind of have to work in batches of 6-8 capsules before the grounds cup fills up. Not a big downside, since it means the whole kit is small enough to stash away easily and you can still run through a lot of pods very quickly. The only actual negative to me is that I'm a bit skeptical that using this is actually very likely to get the capsules into aluminum recycling centers. Even if it does, we found we wanted to be pretty careful about how much water we used when rinsing the capsules. In any case, we've been quite happy with this solution to dealing with the capsules, especially given it's fairly cheap and well made.

It works great. I feel so much better using the capsule recycling tool. The fact that I can press two at a time works great for me since I normally use two pods at a time.

Amazingly fantastic. Quickly and simply opens up the capsule for easy rinsing in sink, after which you can toss clean aluminum in recycle bin. Hopefully the recycle centers actually recycle them, but this simple gizmo lets the consumer do everything we should do to prepare it correctly for recycling. You can also take out your daily frustrations on it because the pusher-downer thing is very satisfying.

Does not crush the nespresso pods i use so I returned.
