Fit and worked perfectly

Moved into a house and needed a new battery. Didn't know anything about it but just did a quick search, found this, ordered and replaced. Works great!!!!! Easy peasy

This works in my Chamberlain opener, but it is certainly a tight fit in the compartment when it's time to get it out! Another reviewer said he made a tab with duct tape and used that to remove the old battery. I found that very helpful as I struggled to remove the dead battery. I finally stuck an old thin plastic kitchen spatula like one might use on cookie sheets to raise and slide out my old battery. This is my second purchase of this replacement battery. The batteries don't last very long with the hot Texas summers heating up the garage pretty badly. I think I'm replacing batteries at just under the 2 year mark which seems a bit often to have a battery totally die even considering conditions. If a car or motorcycle battery can last so much longer, it seems like these should have a longer operational life. The unit's annoying beeping does stop simply from removing the old battery, so if one only has power failures seasonally it might be a savings on replacements to remove it to inside the house during months of high heat. I plan to try that with this replacement battery by taking it into my utility room before the highest summer heat to see if it lasts longer than the previous 2 batteries. It is during our thunderstorm season that having this back battery has been a lifesaver. Literally my first morning in my new house I woke up to a raging storm that knocked out the power before I could get dressed for work. My old opener that came with the house didn't have a battery back up, and it is near impossible to reach the release handle when the car is parked directly underneath the opener! One of my first home improvements was to get a new Chamberlain garage door opener system with battery back up installed! This replacement battery has always been charged and working when my power has gone out. The door opens more slowly when drawing on battery power, but it goes up nonetheless. I've never had the power stay off long enough to get near the maximum number of times it is supposed to raise and lower the door to see how long a fully charged battery will last.

Ordered this as the original battery in our Chamberlain garage door opener was no longer charging and keep hearing a loud auidble beep until the old one was removed. I was pleasantly surprised to discover upon opening the shipping box it's a replacement of the original battery. The old battery is on the right and new one on the left in the photo that shows both side by side. It's literally a 5 minute job to reopen the battery compartment to reconnect the wires and close it back up using a Phillips screwdriver. A glance at the control panel shows the battery was about 50% charged. This seems to be a good deal having gotten it at a reduced price around $54. The battery sticker indicates it was manufactured May 26, 2023. Hopefully this new battery will provide about 6-7 years of similar to the original. Time will tell but glad this battery is an actual OEM replacement and not a generic knock-off.
