Small and mighty
I wish I discovered this thing sooner! Very neatly packaged and feels well built. I used nicer cables than the ones supplied. Connected with my phone and Tidal and the sound is very pleasing. It's not exactly critical listening worthy but for background music it's awesome! Set up was a breeze. I connected into a preamp socket, hooked up to an auxiliary input and paired device. Music started up with no issues. Nothing beats a designated 2 channel system playing quality source material but this little guy is absolutely perfect when you just want music playing and your catalog is unlimited. Definitely recommend

Audiophile BT Receiver, steal for the price.
I was looking for a Bluetooth DAC to stream music on my system in a dedicated listening room. I do know that Bluetooth is not really hi-rez. But with newer tech like aptX that companies like Arcam use, the sound fidelity has gotten much better. One another limitation in my system was that it is has a "passive" preamp. So the source (like CDP or DVD players or HR Receiver) need to have a healthy voltage to drive the amp. This unit checked out on all my requirements: AKM DAC 2V output aptX RCA out Optical out I had not heard of this unit till I did a serious search on the internet for Bluetooth(BT). I compared the specs to some BT DACs upto $500 and this one was all that i was needed. Nevertheless, I was a bit skeptic from my previous experience using a Logitech BT, which had a very low output voltage. The sound was anemic in my passive system. Amazon shipped the unit pretty fast and I did not waste time to hook it up in my main system. I used a Samsung Tab A to stream songs from FolkAlley and Spotify. When the first notes from Folk Alley came on, I was AMAZED. Yes, this perfectly suited my system. All I have to do is set the BT volume on the tablet to FULL. If a user is using a regular receiver or integrated amplifier, you probably will have the BT set to only 50% of the volume, since the built-in preamplifier in your receiver/amp will amplify the sound to necessary volume. Connection is stable and I have tried to connect to this unit via the Samsung Tab A from 2 floors up. My listening room is in the basement. I have to be on the stairs between first and second floor to get a connection. Had some friends over and pairing was very simple. Though they are now music enthusiasts like me, they were amazed to hear how their Spotify music sounds in a dedicated listening room. I could not do this previously since my system is passive and lacked a BT receiver. Soundwise, it sounds phenomenal for a BT Receiver. The DACs are the same as in some megabuck dedicated CD/SACD players. I use the free Spotify and not the premium version. So cannot comment on really hi-rez streaming. But I am so happy with the sound quality, that I decided to give this unit a shout-out using the Amazon review. I did forgot to mention that this unit feels "solid" and not like cheap plastic. So you get the ownership pride too. I wish I was aware of this product when the kickstarter project kicked off. Now for the negative: The biggest gripe is, the beautifully boxed device comes with everything as mentioned on their website, EXCEPT for the USB charger that goes into the power outlet. I really did not understand why this pas not included. As for the authenticity of my "ears" and experience, you can checkout my system at the link below and judge my review: [...] I went with the Black version, since it gels well in my system. I will soon update my system page with a picture of this unit.

I think you'll be pleased.
I was a bit skeptical about this item and had a few exchanges with the company that makes it. It turns out that I was pleasantly surprised. It worked right out of the box. Bluetooth connection was flawless. reproduction of the tunes from my phone was fine, not quite as clear as my records but adequate for my hearing level at this point in my life. I understand MP3s aren't as pure as records anyway.I found out that I couldn't use a secondary turntable plug on my receiver, and I only had one auxillary inlet that I use for a CD player, but I was able to buy a splitter box with a selector switch here on Amazon that allowed me to plug both in. If you've got a 50 year old receiver like I do and want to play tunes from your phone this just might be your answer. It plugs into other devices but this is the only one I needed it for.

Simple and works well!
The built-in BlueTooth on my stereo system has poor range. This will connect through the whole house and it sounds good.

Easy to connect, comes with instructions and cables-works well!
Easy to hookup, and pairing with all my Apple Mac Pro equipment was a relatively easy process. Using my Itunes BT signal for example, I am routing it thru a NAD-C165BEE preamp with right and left input (hook-ups included in box). The sound quality, and channel L+R separation is very defined and not bad. This is not a mono signal. Speakers are powered by 2 piggybacked Onkyo Power Amps @150 watts. My equipment is within 30ft range of each other. Unit boasts 100' range. So far, a good bargin for the money.

Perfect upgrade
A perfect upgrade to my vintage receiver, the sound quality is superb and the pairing setup was simple and the Bluetooth range is more than adequate. I love all the streaming music apps that I’m able to listen to unlimited music.

Sound quality
This piece of equipment is the best thing since sliced bread, it has transformed my old stereo receiver into the 21 century. I have an old Marantz receiver with Bose 901’s and now I can listen and enjoy them

Pretty slick gadget
This works great with our older, very high-end receiver. It was made before Bluetooth was standard on receivers. We've been trying to connect phones to it so we can play SiriusXM. This makes it stupid easy! Simple install and super easy to connect. Bring life back to your vintage stereo system.
