Seems to be a quality FRONT hub.
Someone else wrote a review stating, "this is not a front hub". As you can see from my photos, I have the same hub, which indeed is a front hub. So far, I am please with this purchase. I found it difficult to find a standard axle front hub to convert my beach cruiser to a disc brake. The thread on adapter is a right hand thread. So, the caliper will have to go on the left side of the bike. Because it will unthread while braking if it is mounted on the right side. Just something to be aware of. I didn't see anything in the description stating what side the caliper will need to go on. I picked up a couple of miles and hour speed wise. I credit the ball bearing hubs. I am happy with this disc brake conversion. Stopping is no longer in the lords hands!

I received a hub for a rear axle. The axle is 140mm long. The threading that you see in the product photo is for a freewheel. Which is another sign that this is for a rear axle.
