I bought this for my first serious go at using rechargeables and I’m quite impressed. I use a 5v 3a PD USB type C power supply I use for something also and it seems adequate. It charged 12 AA batteries (new but not full) fairly quickly and they seem ok. I’ve also charged 2 old AAA batteries I rescued from somewhere and had in a box for ages, they seem to have been revived. I like the fact it is compact and has a decent display giving feedback on the process and quite happy it works for both types of battery. Overall this has been a good buy for me and I would recommend it so far.

Well made and easy to use, this is just the thing if you have multiple batteries to charge (it’s amazing how many household items still use double and triple A batteries!). I already had the smaller version, but this is better still and seems to charge faster - and being that much larger it’s also less easy to mislay!

Not a lot to say really. I use a dedicated USB plug for it and it charges its' own brand VERY quickly. Single channels - so odd numbers can be charged, don't need to do pairs. The AAA click in takes some getting used to - easy enough when you get the hang of it - works just fine, most of mine are AAAs. Only reason I got more than one was for versatility. In theory I can now charge 24 together across 3 chargers, but just use this one usually. Yes the USB is a bit of a pain, but does not overheat and is versatile.

After having gotten fed up with bulk buying batteries and throwing them out I decided to buy some rechargeable batteries and a charger. I've always had chargers that plug into the mains so this was the first one I've bought that charges via USB, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much out of it. However when it arrived I was pleased to find that it has a good weight to it and is well built and presented. I wanted to charge some AA and AAA batteries so plugged them in. Each slot can take either and AA or AAA battery and they can be mixed across the slots. The AA batteries sit nice and firmly in the slots, but when I tried to put the AAA batteries in I thought I'd found a problem, but I was wrong. I noticed some people complain that AAA batteries fitted in very tightly and I couldn't get them to lie flat, instead the were angling out slightly along the top. I did try to push them flat but they wouldn't go. However the positive connector on the top isn't just a simple dimple (like most torches have), but instead is a small plate with horizontal ridges or bumps, so when you push the battery in, it slips behind at least the first ridge and held fast. The cable supplied is a micro-usb connector, although the box does allow you to connect a USB-C cable instead if you have one, and the manual does warn you not to connect both at the same time. Plugging it in to a high-speed USB charger and all the sockets with batteries lit up. The indicators are bright and clear and flash as each battery is charging and shows how much charge each battery has, and stop flashing to let you know that a battery is fully charged. It charged all my batteries from a low charge to fully charged in about an hour.

Unfortunately, the product stopped working after a couple months, it started to freeze charging after about 15 minutes and show batteries all charged, then I would unplug and then plug it back in and it would start charging again and show the true charge level of the batteries. No longer reliable, sadly, as it was so handy. I would not recommend this product and going for more well known companies like Panasonic or Amazon Basics. Original Review: The product itself works well, with it registering standard AA rechargeable batteries. One difficulty I have found, is removing the batteries can be quite hard, especially if you only want to remove a few at a time. The bigger issue I have had is the USB-C port. I thought great idea (not checking the reviews) then after plugging it in a couple of times found the port suddenly stopped working, so I tried a couple of other chargers and had no luck. The Micro-USB port still works fine, but I bought it for the convenience of just carrying one type of cable with me. I would recommend avoiding this until they find a way to fix that issues, that unless you're happy with Micro-USB in 2024.

I've held off updating this review for a couple of weeks to make sure I didn't get the same issue again, but I'm glad to report that the charger is working great (as I suspected, I probably was unlucky in receiving one that was faulty). I've not had the same issue as before (original 1-star review below for complete disclosure). After I posted the below, I was offered a replacement by the company, which I accepted, and I have been using the charger for a while now without any issues. It charges my batteries quickly, has enough slots for all of my sensor light batteries (12 in total), and I can keep these charged over the dark winter nights. Thank you very much for organising a replacement. Original 1 star review below: Worked fine on the first use, with no issues at all. When I went to use it a second time, the last set of slots on the right-hand side were illuminated even though there were no batteries in there. When I went to charge a complete set of batteries, the first two sets of slots worked fine and charged perfectly, but the rightmost slot stayed at two lines, even though the batteries had been in there longer than slots 1 & 2. Thinking it was a one-off issue, I returned it (the return process went fine). I tried to order it again, but the price had gone up to £23 when I'd paid £13 (it was probably a black Friday deal). So I decided to leave it, and have ordered from another brand. Very disappointing!
