Actually good at absorbing and outputting light. I'm guessing that some of these sticks would be old and have less efficacy. Additionally blue is one of if not the hardest wavelengths of lights to transmit, so if you want light, pick clear/orange/yellow.

this is OK but not really worth the money. It is a fluorescent glow stick and is not very useful except to find the object it is attached to in the dark, and if it has NOT been in direct sunlight or a strong artificial light for 10 minutes or more for a long past time, it will NOT glow, so good luck with using it for that under those circumstances.

After using it for over a month I’ve found that it doesn’t hold a charge for more than a few hours at most. Very dim after. Was looking for a replacement for a tritium key fob and this didn’t come close. Aside from that it seems durable and would be good for some of the other listed applications like camping.
