Good knives at a good price, the top sides are a little sharp
This is my first brand-new set of "real" knives. I am very pleased. They are very sharp, and don't get water spots as bad as some other knives I have owned. My ONLY complaint is that the top side (opposite of the cutting side of the blade) is pretty sharp. My husband actually got a pretty good cut on his finger from the TOP of the knife. These are so good, I wish I had gone for a bigger set!!

Great set and value
I love Henkels knives. This comes with a perfect wood block. I wish the slots were horizontal so that the sharp edge doesn't have to go against the wood, but that's a minor detail. I bought a steel separately to round out the set.

I think it’s a good value for the money mine was damaged Due to poor shipping. however it was replaced very quickly. Customer service very good. I would recommend.

Poor Quality
I was excited the get these knives in. However, the box was severely damaged upon arrival, yet it was placed in another box that wasn’t damaged. Which means I was sent an item with an already damaged box. I was okay with that since I wasn’t going to give it as a gift. When I opened the box, everything looked “new”. The handles looked faded in areas that I assumed would come clean after a good wash. However the faded areas didn’t get fixed after washing. After closer inspection, the quality of the handles were poorly made. You can see where the handles got melted or something cause you can see the defects in them. Unfortunately you can really see all the defects and faded parts of the handle against the dark wood block. I was really disappointed in this products workmanship, and I would not recommend this. I am sending this back ASAP. I also found out even thought these say Heckles, they are the cheap version made internationally. If you want the good knives made in Germany you actually need Zwillings which are the true German made quality.
