11909 RhinoRamps Vehicle Ramps (Pair, 12,000lb. GVW Capacity)

These ramps work great for oil changes or simple maintenance in the garage. I use them on my Audi, which has lower ground clearance, but they slip under the front without issues. They are not low enough to put under the side of my car (like you would have to do to get the car up on all 4 at once) so don't expect to do that unless you have an SUV or really good ground clearance. I like that they stack, I don't have a lot of garage space, so every little bit helps. Not much else to say, they raise the car up by a good 10-11" so its enough to slide under on a creeper. Always use them on flat ground, though. I read some reviews about them collapsing, but that is because if you look under it is made to distribute the wight on all of the vertical walls. If you have an uneven surface or rocks, it could collapse a wall and compromise the rest.

Oil change was a breeze with these. I decided on this larger capacity (16,000lb) because I was concerned about the width of the other ones. These ramps were nice and wide, and fit my 235 size width tires with room to spare, which was a relief. The lower capacity (12,000lb) ramps would've been about 1/4" too skinny (according to the product description) so I am glad I got these. They stack and store nicely, and are a good low profile so I had no issues driving up onto them with my low-clearance S4 sedan. Seemed sturdy - as they should be! - and am confident getting underneath to do my oil changes, etc. 5/5 Would recommend. I fought with a jack and jack stands for years before buying these and I'm kicking myself for not getting them sooner.

Have used these ramps half a dozen times in the past few months for various work. They worked great for an oil change, subframe and dogbone mount work, and a a catback install. They are relatively light and easy to move around. They also stack one inside the other which makes them much easier to store, as they are somewhat of a large item. They are very easy to get on and off of...the slope is fairly gradual, so it doesn't take much "effort" out of the engine to get up, and the lip at the end tells you you've gone far enough. They are very sturdy once you're up there and never gave me reason to wonder if the car was truly supported above me. The total lift height isn't super high (you're only getting about 7 inches of extra clearance), but room under the car is adequate for just about anything, although getting closer to the middle of the car you obviously have increasingly less room to work. There are times I've wished I had more room to move under the car on these ramps, but short of having access to a lift you'll probably always have moments like that, and there wasn't a task I was unable to complete due to space restrictions. As for the "stock height" caveat: I'm having new springs and struts installed tomorrow, and I fear that the inch+ drop will render these ramps unusable without modification/jerry rigging. I'll update the review to confirm once the install is complete. As it is, when I wedge the ramps under the tires, the front lip is less than an inch from making contact with the ramp. I assume that the lower ride height will result in immediate contact.

Overall, I'm perfectly happy with these ramps. I picked them up to do oil changes and inspections underneath our cars. For this sort of work I prefer the idea of ramps than jack stands as our parking spot is a little uneven, and there's effectively zero chance of the car coming down off the ramps than using stands on a surface that isn't level. Yes, it's pretty unlikely anything would happen with stands, but I'm more paranoid than I used to be about stuff (I guess it's the two kids that did that). I chose the heaver-duty set of the two because at the time it was the same than their little siblings (11909, 12,000lbs) at the time I ordered. I had the good fortune to buy at one of the product's historical low prices, which it has hit 3 times in the past year or so. That price got them their 5th star; they've since gone up $10, at which this is probably a 4-star product. These aren't small ramps by any means, but their size is lessened by the fact that they're stackable. That takes the total volume needed for the pair down to perhaps 20% more than a single ramp, which is a boon for storage. This seems to be Rhingear's ethos; their chocks do the same thing, which is also very much appreciated. The walls of the ramps have holes that can be used to strap the pair together, making handling the pair as a single unit even easier. Their length does mean that I can get my wife's car up on it. Her 2006 Scion xB is a great little car, but is blessed/cursed by a pretty low front skirt that starts a decent distance ahead of the front wheels, which results in horrible clearance. I had borrowed a set of ramps from a friend (not sure which manufacturer/model) with a steeper incline that were unusable for her car. As it stands, with these I literally only had a few millimetres of clearance getting onto the ramps. I was honestly wondering if I was going to have to put a bunch more pressure in her tyres temporarily to raise the car a little further, but it did clear. Getting the car up on the ramps was pretty simple, and there's a good-sized chock at the end of the ramp to let you know you should stop. They're more than wide enough for her tyres (185mm). These lifted the car enough that I could easily get underneath. I'm somewhat barrel-chested (48"), and I was able to get well under the car head-first to take a look at her exhaust without feeling cramped. It's easily more than enough of a lift to get at the drain plug and oil filter at the front of the car. Overall, I probably couldn't be happier. I wouldn't have even considered them at their 2012 pricing, but they've since dropped considerably and are well worth the price I paid.

I have been looking for a better set of 'wedges' to level our class C motorhome. I read the reviews where others complained about these ramps becoming 'misshapen' or 'skidding' when they tried to use them. I bought 2 sets and we are on day 18 of our trip and have used them every night (most RV parks are not very level and few class C motorhomes have leveling jacks). We have not experienced any of the problems reported by some reviewers. These ramps have worked perfectly. They fit our 225/75R16 LTE tires so much better than those small yellow angled ramps sold at most camping outlets. Our class C weighs in at just over 14,000 lbs and these ramps have supported it safely and securely. Storage is easy as they 'nest together' to take up minimal space. I got these for several reasons: 1 light weight, 2 they are low profile I own a steel heavy pair that have a steep incline and limit the types of cars that can drive up, 3 they stack together for simple storage which they stand up on 1 end so the foot print is about 2 square feet at most. I have parked pickup trucks to compact cars without issues. I am confident the ramps are built to last and worth every penny. Great for the oil change DIYer. I cannot find anything wrong with these yet and I would recommend them to everyone looking for a good set of ramps. My previous steel ramps would sink into the driveway on hot summer days

I ordered these for a Honda Odyssey so I could change the oil or transmission fluid. I drove up onto them and heard a loud crack that others have mentioned. I left the car up there for an hour, and it seemed okay, but I still wasn't ready to trust this crawling underneath a van with a small 7-inch clearance to begin with. It does raise it up well enough to be able to change the oil, but I didn't have a jack or jack-stands tall enough to make a failsafe, so I returned them. Perhaps I may have been a little gun-shy from reading the other reviews, because I didn't see any visible damage, but I sure wasn't going to risk it after hearing the crack and reading the other reviews here. I think I'm going to try the wooden 2x10 solution that someone posted and get some concrete blocks to put underneath the axle just in case. Also, when I got these, the box was saturated with what looked like oil. Since these are made of all hard plastic, I didn't know what was leaking until I saw they had included a bottle of "Tire Wet" along with the ramps which had broken open during shipping and had leaked all over the bottom ramp. I didn't like the idea of plastic soaking in any kind of solvent stronger than water. I doubt that was the cause of the noise, but better safe than sorry. I don't like leaving negative reviews, because I rarely have a bad experience. Pep-Boys were great at giving me a quick and easy refund -- they get 5 stars, but this product unfortunately does not.

I bought this pair of ramps so that I could do oil changes on my Honda Civic. They worked out real good. Their low angle of approach allows cars that sit low to the ground to easily go up the ramp without the front bumper or spoiler coming into contact with the ramp. Also, they have a no slip feature built into the ramp at the bottom so that the weight of the car holds them in place on concrete floors and keeps them from sliding as the front wheels start upon the ramp. Very easy to use as I just placed them touching each front tire on the floor and then drove up on them with little effort until they touched the stops at the top end. Holds the weight very good, and gave me adequate room to change my oil and filter.
