Love this! Quiet, consistent, good coffee, and looks nice!
I watched a bunch of grinder reviews before buying this. Most of them don't include this product, as it's lesser known and doesn't seem to be considered a serious contender among coffee aficionados. Common wisdom seems to be to go with the Baratza Encore at this price point, or maybe something from Breville, Felllow, or Varia. I'm glad I didn't. The big appeals for me here were looks, quiet operation, and automatic dosing. It's pretty quiet, quiet enough that it doesn't seem to bother my cat sleeping nearby in the morning. You can dial in a specific dose via grind time, and it will save it and gets it consistent enough that I don't have to weigh beans anymore, I just press the button and use it, and it's one in about 9 seconds. Plus, it looks pretty nice and has a small counter footprint. Visually, the grind quality appears to be a bit more consistent than my $60 Timemore hand grinder is, and it's FAR faster. The only real downside I can recall people mentioning was grind quality, but to me the grind quality is great, and even if a Baratza gives a more consistent particle size, ask yourself: are you really going to be able to tell the difference in coffee flavor between two different electrical conical burr grinders? Honestly? In a blind test, you think you could tell? Maybe so, but I certainly can't. This is a great pick.

What a great grinder! We're thrilled.
We've been using our KitchenAid Burr Grinder for a month now and we're thrilled with it. When our old grinder stopped grinding consistently after four years we decided to grit our teeth and spend more. We did our research and KitchenAid products have been good for us, so we snag this one. We congratulate ourselves on our choice every time we grind our coffee. (Actually, we can't wait to use it!) Quiet! Whodda thought? The settings are easy to use, the grind beautiful and consistent, the motor doesn't overheat. I can walk away without holding my hand around the grinder to keep a spray of coffee grounds from escaping. Not one grain escapes the KitchenAid container during grinding. The settings are easy to use, the hopper holds a large amount if you like to grind for a few days. Or you can put your espresso portafilter in a special holder and grind the amount needed for perfect espresso. The LED light goes off after a while (yeah!) There was much more mess to clean up with our previous grinders ($80 range.) We thought it was the beans we were buying - nope, it was the grinder. Well worth the extra upgrade. Love the red.

Best I've Used.
Love this coffee grinder. It's quiet. Infinitely adjustable for quantity and degree of coarse/fine grounds. No static, so the catch-bin and countertop stay clean. Produces excellent, consistent results with less fuss and mess than any grinder I've used. Wish I would have just spent the extra for this one the first time. would've saved a lot of money trying out cheaper ones that disappointed. I haven't had to clean it yet, so that remains to be seen. I just hope it lasts a long time.

Quality coffee grinder!
If you like to grind your own coffee and customize it how you like then you won’t be disappointed with this one! Easy to use and like how you can save your different settings. I would consider this grinder to be fairly quiet while grinding but does make a little noise. You can grind quite a bit of coffee with the capacity it can hold. Clean up is fairly easy when you’re done.

Makes us smile every morning!
We LOVE this grinder; it brings a smile every morning! We do pour-over and debated whether we really needed to upgrade our older, entry-level burr grinder. Despite our initial questioning, we have been extremely happy with this KitchenAid Burr Coffee Grinder. ▪︎ Quiet ▪︎ Very consistent grind size. We're actually able to do an espresso level grind and get very full bodied pour over coffee that is not bitter. ▪︎ Great design for the bean hopper. This is very convenient for adding / changing beans and cleaning. ▪︎ We've had essentially no problems with static. This is great, because our old burr grinder is a static nightmare. ▪︎ Many options to dial in grind size, grind time, no. of cups. We used a scale in the beginning to dial in on settings for our morning coffees, but no longer need the scale as the KitchenAid grinder has produced very consistent results. ▪︎ KitchenAid quality - we've had great experience with various KitchenAid products since the 'Hobart' days and as a result, have high expectations that we'll get many years of great service from this burr grinder. Wish we had bought this earlier!

Great value for the money
I did a lot of research before buying a grinder. I’ve been using this for a few months now. This KitchenAid grinder performs perfectly. Very easy to learn and use. Once you get it set for your normal daily grind, you just hit the button and in under a minute you have perfectly ground coffee. It runs quietly and produces consistently ground coffee. The grounds are contained in the catch jar without any mess whatsoever. Just dump them into your coffee maker and you’re ready to brew. You can pay more or less for other grinders, this hits the sweet spot for great value for the money. I highly recommend it.

Way Too Sophisticated; Died After Three Weeks
This is a great coffee grinder and I am very pleased with it. However, it is way more sophisticated than it needs to be. I did not need all these automatic features, but I have found a work-around that allows me to use it the way I prefer. It is designed for someone who wants to fill up the hopper with beans and then dial in how many "cups" of coffee you want to grind. The problem is that nowhere in any of the instructions is a "cup" defined. Is it 5-ounces? 6-ounces? 8-ounces? 12-ounces? 16-ounces? It makes a difference, after all, and you need to know, but it's an undefined quantity. It assumes that you will be satisfied with the amount of coffee that the machine puts out based on its undefined "cup." So, let me explain my process. I only put the amount of beans required for my recipe into the hopper. I then dial in the info (which was determined by trial and error) that will make the grinder work until all the beans are ground and then shut off. It would have been so much simpler if a simple switch had been provided for me to turn it on to start and then off when finished. Now, this is what I really like about this grinder, in no particular order of importance. It is by far the quietest electric burr grinder that I have ever owned, and I have had many, including an older KitchenAid which is the loudest one ever. So, the noise level was a pleasant surprise. The bean hopper and the grounds container are both plastic. Had I known this I would never have bought it because of bad experience I have had with static electricity in the grounds catcher. The plastic grounds catchers in other grinders I have had were just nasty. The grounds had a tendency to go everywhere besides into the catcher and the grounds that went into the catcher then did not want to come out. My cabinet top was always covered with stray coffee grounds. But, guess what? So far, in the few times that I have used this grinder there has been no static problem whatsoever. I am extremely pleased with that. This grinder has 70 grind levels and every level I have placed it on has produced a consistent grind with practically no silt. This is very important to producing a great cup of joe and probably contributes to the lack of static, as well. Yes, it looks good sitting on your cabinet, if that is important to you. And it is definitely high tech, if you are into that. I would have preferred a simple on-off switch. Update: It worked just fine for about three weeks. I was very happy with it. However, a few days ago it stopped grinding before it was finished. It displayed "Error 2." The troubleshooting guide said the solution was to clean the grinding mechanism and explained how to do it. I have cleaned it spotlessly for well over a dozen times to no avail. It refuses to operate properly. After every cleaning it will grind for three or four seconds and then cut off. So, the cleaning does absolutely no good. Apparently, its motor is extremely weak and clogs if it makes contact with a random coffee bean. It was a great coffee grinder for three weeks. Now it is a piece of trash that needs to be discarded. What a disappointment.

Great Burr cofee grinder
I Did a bunch of research before deciding which grinder to purchase. I finally narrowed the choices between the OXO burr grinder and this Kitchen Aid Burr Grinder. Turns out Kitchen Aid won the day. To say that this grinder is exceptionally quiet would be an understatement. It won't wake the whole house in the morning while you grind your beans for your morning cup of Java. There are so many great features on this grinder. You simply put in the number of cups you want. Choose your grind, and hit start. The grinder grinds the precise amount of beans from the hopper for your desired number of cups. When it stops, simply pour the coffee grinds into your machine and you are ready to brew! It's that simple. BTW, I'm not sure how they achieve this, but there is virtually NO static electricity in the grind cup. The coffee comes right out. Nothing stays behind. That is a welcomed feature. The grind consistency is incredible for this price point of grinder. It grinds a consistent grind every time with a stunning 70 grind settings. The build quality is excellent, which is to be expected from a Kitchen Aid product. There is so much more this grinder does that you will really enjoy. Too many to name them all here. I will say that if you are in the market for a really nice grinder, you could do a lot worse than the Kitchen Aid Burr Grinder. Highly recommend
