How many ml does the bottle contain?

There is 5ml in the bottle. The bottle size is larger (10ml bottle) to allow mixing and to allow syringe administration when used in the hospital setting.

I read that to survive and work, probiotics need prebiotics on which to feed. Is aerosil 200 pharma (anticaking agent e551) the prebiotic in labinic ?

Hi Charlotte, Thank you for the question. The probiotics in Labinic Drops are 'dormant' as suspended in MCT oil (medium chain triglyceride which is a natural, easy digestible oil). This stabilises the bacterial count at 2 billion per day and therefore the probiotics do not need feed by prebiotics. Aerosil 200 Pharma is a regulated and approved food agent that is used to stop the bacteria 'clumping' together. All probiotic that come into contact with any degree of water molecule becomes active so when Labinic Drops are given orally the probiotics are stimulated and become ''alive'' again. If a probiotic is prepared/stored as a liquid or powder (which can then easily absorb moisture) the stability is affected as the probiotics become active and then die. A prebiotic can slow the degeneration process of the probiotic it does not prevent it. Our microbiologist preform stability studies to ensure that the bacterial count of 2 billion per day in Labinic Drops remain stable throughout it lifespan (BBE).
