Shun Sora 3 1/2" Paring Knife

This has become my “go to” knife, everything about this knife is perfect, the feel, the way it cuts, the balance and the sharpness. If I could only have 1 knife, this would be it!

Careful its sharp. Japanese craftsmanship is superior. So light that there is barely any pressure on your wrists.

As a culinary worker, I love this brand of knives; they are of very good quality.

You won’t regret getting this. Super sharp, not too small, not too big, obviously a higher order paring knife and since that’s the kind of knife I use the most, why not splurge ?

I got this knife as a present for my mother in law who is learning to cook, but doesn't want something overly fancy. This knife is super sharp, comfortable to hold and beautiful to look at. It comes out of the box ready to make paper thin slices, which is really fun. My only concern is the durability. It is not a full-tang knife, which for the price is totally fine. Eventually, I worry that it might have to be replaced. With that said, it comes with a lifetime guarantee, so if it breaks at some point, it can just be replaced. Overall, it is a total bargain and I loved using it. If you have the extra money, go for the Shun classic. If not, this is a great knife at a great price.

I'm a huge advocate for Shun knives. I love the classic ones (although I wish I could afford some of the fancier ones). I can't, though, bring myself to pay $80 for a paring knife, so that's when I tried this one. The blade and handle aren't like the traditional, but the edge is still very sharp and cuts things beautifully. We'll see how it holds up in the long run, but so far so good. Get one!

I have several fantastic Shun knives. This is not one of them. Cheapest piece of cheap plastic cr** handle imaginable.

Such an easy manage knife for everyday use in the kitchen- cutting raw poultry , veggies and fruits . Easy grip . Easy handling. Not heavy. Excellent sharp blade. I’ve tried all the major brands out there. This one is phenomenal and I ordered more after buying the first one . Highly recommend!

Excellent paring knife. Extremely sharp!

Very sharp and functional for basic food prep

I was very upset with the way my package arrived, when you pay a high price for a high end knife and it comes all ratty in a box, the box was ripped, and I am unsure if the knife is ok I’ll probably be sending it back, it was the one gift my husband would be getting as he loves his kitchen knives and this one looks like I dug it out of a garage sale, embarrassing to say the least, I’ll be returning it and order a different knife for his Feb BD.

Good and sharp

Wow this knife is really sharp out of the box and cuts quickly. Seldom to I need to use glue to close the cuts. This paring knife is expensive . I am replacing numerous knives that will not hold an edge, proving this knife economical.
