I Needed this to add more usb inside my PC case , Works perfect.

It works great. There's nothing to configure. After connecting it, it works as expected. I only used 3 of the 4 connections, and the missing connection didn't cause any issues. This works just as well as the higher price adapters. Save your money, and get this one.

You need this when your new motherboard doesn't have compatible USB 2.0 slots on the back.

This product works just fine in that it successfully splits a single usb2 header into four. All the headers worked for me as far as devices connecting properly in Windows. However, there is a limit to how much a single usb2 header can deal with. In my scenario, an NZXT controller, Corsair Lighting Node Pro, and Corsair Lighting Node Core were all connected. This resulted in lag/unresponsiveness in any and all of said devices. Each of these devices already have their own SATA power connected, but something was still amiss. In the end, this product would likely work fine for people who don't have an application as stressful as mine. Ultimately I decided to buy another splitter (NZXT USB Hub 3). That splitter requires additional SATA power input, but fixed my issues. All my controllers are working flawlessly.

I use these a lot because of the old style computer case, and how these transform any motherboard into a fully functioning, multi-USB, motherboard. Great for busy front and side panels. thanks

Haven't installed it yet, but glad I found it, saved me from having to buy a new motherboard after one of my USB ports stopped working.
