CAP Barbell Doorway Chin Up Bar

I weigh over 180 pounds and I do pull-ups on this all the time. It's good quality because I've been using it for months now.

I bought this to support a grooming sling for my 12 lb. dog, wanted bar removable and it didn’t have to support a lot of weight. Per description it is for lighter weight human use. I can’t speak to human use that it was designed to do, but works well for the purpose I intended, easy to install and remove between uses. Sturdy bar for grooming sling and inexpensive.

does develop a bend in it from hanging if your up to 200 lbs. but the attachment points feel sturdy and the combination or screwed-in, cupped holders on side as well as the added pressure exerted when you twist the rod to wedge even tighter to the end plates and door jamb makes it feel more stable.

Edit: Since the rod has clockwise and counterclockwise on either ends, the nuts didn’t work. I ended up drilling two holes through the plastic internal block and screwing some self tapping screws to keep the block from rotating. Better than new! God is Greater! I've owned this for less than 5 months. I'd only use this for dead hangs for stretching. Unfortunately, the plastic block inside the bar stripped its threads. Will attempt to repair by securing block on either side with M10-1.5 nuts. I shouldn't have to, though.

Holds weight, & easy to be put up! It fits in the doorframe and functions perfectly.

I used different screws than the ones supplied. They def would still work but im close to the "max weight" so I didn't want there to be any issues. But if you install this as the directions say and make sure ya make the bar tight you'll have ZERO PROBLEMS. I weigh prob 205 and this thing was solid. What else I like is it comes with these small rubber single screw holders if you want to do sit ups at the bottom of your door. Very smart design. As you can see regular over the molding type no screw pull up bars won't work in my house. My house is an older style. Built for smaller ppl I think lol. But I really like this pull up bar. If I have any issues I will come back and edit my review

Great materials and overall quality but it's like shower curtain rod that you have to spin to tighten to the door frame. to make matters worse, the grips themselves rotate. There's no way to make it so that it doesn't spin when you hang onto it. If you try to keep your knuckles on top, you will just drop an inch or two. Serious design flaw in these type of pull up bars. I'll have to find one that doesn't do this.

This is a great deal, very practical, affordable and save me time working out at home, rather than having to leave the house.

Diseño sencillo y práctico. Construcción resistente y de buena calidad. Cumple su función sin problema. Toma un poco de tiempo instalarlo, ya que en mi caso tuve que hacer los seis agujeros en la pared para atornillar las bases y que fuera mas seguro. No recomiendo usarlo sin tornillos, en mi experiencia no se sostiene bien por si solo.

Me llego en menos de 12 horas con el envio estándar. Lo instale en menos de 5 min sin necesidad de usar los tornillos, me aguanta perfecto, peso 70kg.
