Omg! These are the best sign pens that anyone could use for your calligraphy writing or drawing. They are so smooth and so flexible. No they don’t have the huge brush strokes that brush pens have. These produce the best thick and thin strokes that you can ask for in a brush pen! I am going to buy the bigger pack the next time and the next time is very soon!

Excellent. Good color, and works very nicely for brush pen calligraphy.

Bought a couple blues to try and love how easy the tip is to get thick and thin lines and transition, perfect for beginner lettering. The pen feels comfortable in my hand, so glad to have a little set, I split it with my mom since she wants to try lettering too. The colors are truly lovely, feel unique enough from similar colors that I think they would be great if you have a lot or if you’re just looking for a few pens and that’s it this would be a good choice too.

I have recently started learning calligraphy and have tried many many different brush pens. I was excited to try these, they work well BUT they tend to get really soft within minutes of use. They would be great for coloring, the colors are quite bold, however, if you intend to use for calligraphy at a beginner level these are not easy to use. An intermediate to advanced level person doing hand lettering would be able to manipulate this quite easily, but it's too soft for starting out.

I’m something of a pen expert. Been a pen collector since age 12. These? They are one of my favorite brush pens, especially for smaller sized lettering. The ink is pigmented, but not so much it bleeds or goes through to the other side but more than the hard tipped Tombow Fude colors. Great for heavy handed letters like myself. I love these new colors and I am purchasing the other pack right now. Pro Tip: Use SMOOTH paper. You can fray these tips using regular old printer or notebook paper pretty quickly. I almost always use the HP Premium 32 paper or notebooks with smooth/premium paper from Rhodia, Molskine, Itoya and my favorite, Clairfontaine. .

I am new to calligraphy! I have always loved to doddle, and write, and then I actually started trying out some calligraphy sheets to trace over and I loved it. I then decided I needed better pens. I got some brush pens before, but I felt as a beginner, I was smashing the crap out of the tip, and then it would just bleed, and ruined the pen. So I was looking all over for a pen with a tip that was sturdy enough for my heavy hand. This is PERFECT!!! If you're planning on writing a lot bigger than I would suggest a bigger brush pen, but this was perfect for beautiful small writing!! I'm def buying a bigger set!!!

My go to brush pen is usually the Tombow Fudenosuke, which I love. It's unfortunately only available in black in, so I wanted to try out other brush pens that came in a wider selection of colors. I LOVE THESE PENS. The ink comes out nicely and the pen gives just a hint of resistance on the tip. Overall, I'd say it's a medium soft tip pen, honestly it feels perfect. It provides a nice amount of control, but enough flex that a light hand will take you far. The hairlines are nevertheless fine and the downstrokes are nice. Honestly, I think I found my new favourite pens. Plus the colors are bright and fun. The blue is actually much nicer in person. Hopefully the nibs stay nice and the color lasts, I'll have to update after I use them for awhile.

Good product

These are exactly what I was looking for! I wanted brush pens to practice calligraphy and also for journalling accents, but not get too many. I really like the colours in this pack. Super easy to write with and hold properly. I would say the swatches are a bit cooler toned than in the photo. I tested it in a Leuchtturm1917 notebook as well and it does not bleed through.

These guys are brilliant. If you are into brush calligraphy, these are a must in the inventory.
