The Bible Made Easy - for Kids Review: Good Bible Companion! - As the product states in its letter to parents, this is not a Bible. It is a Bible companion. I’ve appreciated the way it breaks things down for my kiddo in a way that’s understandable to a child. We do add our own explanations to what is written as not everyone’s views are going to be 100% the same which is to be expected. The author marries the Old Testament prophecy with the New Testament fulfillment of the prophecy rather well for the age group. While it is nowhere near BJU’s “Fulfillment of Time,” it is much easier to comprehend for the age group and written in a way that isn’t confusing for parent or child. We enjoy this Bible companion and are very glad to have found it! Review: A Beautiful Introduction to the Bible for Kids of All Ages - I bought The Bible Made Easy – for Kids for my 7, 9, and 12-year-old children, and it has quickly become a favorite in our home. Each of them loves it for different reasons, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well this book speaks to a wide age range. The language is clear and engaging, making complex stories and concepts easy to understand without watering them down. My 7-year-old enjoys the colorful illustrations and simple explanations, while my 9-year-old is starting to ask deeper questions thanks to how the book presents key themes. Even my 12-year-old, who’s beginning to explore faith more independently, finds it helpful and relatable. The layout is clean and inviting, with short chapters that make it easy to read together or independently. It’s perfect for bedtime reading, homeschool lessons, or quiet reflection time. I also appreciate how it encourages discussion and curiosity, helping my kids connect with the stories in a meaningful way. This book is a fantastic value—well-made, thoughtfully written, and spiritually enriching. I highly recommend it to any parent looking to introduce their children to the Bible in a way that’s both accessible and inspiring.

Its great book to simplify complex biblical content. It easy to read, and awesome additional to our bible study class (homeschool).

A fantastic handbook for Sunday school and Bible school teachers
I was trained as a parochial school teacher in a denomination that is very particular how Christian language is used and material is presented. I was afraid I could be wasting my money on material I shouldn't use in my VBS classroom. When I received the book, I found the stories in this year's curriculum and was pleased that all were included. Moreover, I carefully examined the points upon which my church finds friction with others. Everything I checked made me think this book had been printed by our own publishing house though it had not been. Teaching is clear and accurate about God's Word and how it teaches Christians to see Him. The presentation of salvation, of the lives of Christ, the Apostles, and the Church of the New Testament and the Families of the Old whose lives led to Christ's birth are presented well and with an appeal that will reach out to low and middle graders. As a former preschool teacher, I have no hesitation in thinking I could simplify it enough for preschoolers too. It is that well-written. The layout starts out as a Bible storybook. However, there are hints for simple crafts, charts, applicable Bible verses, everything a teacher could wish for in the way of lesson enhancements. Once the stories finish the gospels and Acts with Paul in Rome and all that he gladly suffers, his hardships are listed. The next section examines the epistles, explaining carefully what the letters were for, who wrote them, and why there can be numbers. The main points of each letter are developed and the doctrines presented are explained. Key Bible verses are highlighted and ideas that recur in other parts of the Bible are noted. Which takes us to Revelation. This one could be a deal breaker for many denominations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the author simply set up what was being presented in the beginning of the book without interpretation. The material is laid out as written. Teachers of any denomination can present it with their own slant with no nudging one way or another from the author. That is very hard to pull off but I think he did it. I was very impressed. A well-thought-out index is useful, featuring charts and lists, maps, definitions and explanations, places, people, and special topics such as man, sin and salvation. It is anything but typical in that it is actually useful for someone searching for in-depth information, more than just a Bible story name. I am so pleased with this book, I am not going into this year's classes with the idea that this year is my last. I am reinvigorated. In fact, tonight I am going to compare what I have found in The Bible Made Easy to the little bit I have pulled together with my other materials. I've been procrastinating but now I am ready to dig in. My lessons are going to be so much better. The title should be updated. It is The Bible Made East—for Kids. Dave Strehler should make that —for Kids—and Teachers. I am one happy VBS teacher! I recommend this for teacher libraries but I also encourage churches to consider it for church libraries. If you are happy with it, think about putting a copy into each classroom. (I'm also a former school librarian. I'm telling you, this book is that good!)

Good for family worship
My children enjoy this book. We read as a family and discuss the stories in the Bible. It's not an actual Bible but it gives you opportunity to have family discussion which is great.

My children love reading this daily as our daily bible lesson. Everything is written easy to help children understand stories of the Bible or Bible concepts. Each page also includes verses of the Bible where the page is referencing to.

I received the Bible after a few days. Although it was supposed to be used, I found it in pristine condition. My son had outgrown his children's Bible (lots of pictures and a simplified story) and needed something a bit more in-depth, yet he's not ready for an adult Bible. So this was a good compromise. I would say this may be for a child of about 8-13 years. Just so that you know, it is all black and white inside. There are some pictures, a few tables and charts to make it more fun. The writing is bigger and it's full of good applications for a child's life.
