Coby Portable CD Player, 60 Second Anti Skip, FM Radio, CD Player for Car

I wanted a portable CD player for playing audiobook CDs. I wanted it to run on both batteries and without. I did not want the expense of internal rechargeable power and I didn't require Bluetooth. I got what I paid for. I don't think it is particularly durable, but I don't intend on dropping it. It runs either on 2 AA batteries or directly from a USB-cabled power source. I have only two complaints, and I accept them at the price I paid only two complaints. 1. T he connector is micro USB, which is becoming out of date. However, a short micro USB to Type A USB cable is provided. 2. The lid unlock is a bit fidgety to press; it secures the cover well enough, but it can be difficult to press fully without blocking the lid edge slightly, preventing it from opening. Documentation is about as minimal as can be, but it covers the features I use. One nice thing about the product is that it ships in a corrugated box, rather than entombed inside a heat-sealed vault of plastic. The box can be used for storing the player, power cable and earbuds together.

My daughter received this for Christmas, but the first one had issues. It kept dying, as if the batteries were bad, after just a few seconds of playing. We contacted the company, and they replaced it immediately. The replacement worked great and still does. Communication was easy, and getting a replacement was hassle-free. Once we received a unit that worked correctly, it turned out to be a very nice player. The sound quality is good, and it doesn’t appear to skip.

Bought this player February of 2021. It played well and sound was good. But the unit didn't last. Stopped working for no reason by the end of September2022. I wouldn't recommend this CD player unless you don't mind shelling out money periodically for new a replacement.

Volume is not working right, also not able to turn off. Buttons so small and hard to see description on each button. Must remove battery to turn off. Does not recommend this product.

This is a really awesome little portable compact disc player!! I've listened to it for hours and hours for a couple of days now and I am prepared to give it a proper review. The sound is crisp and extra great to me, because it has a bass boost. That just gives the music a special drive to it to me. The bass is the back bone of any band and when you have a really good solid driving bass sound, you can really feel the music. It plays the cds well and none of mine skipped at all. I got a black one and really like mine. The cd door is easy to open with a button, when you push it, it pops open. Then you push it shut with your finger. Cd's are fairly easy to load and unload from the player. It has a jack for headphones or another jack to add optimal speakers. There is also an option with this player to repeat and skip tracks or program tracks to play how you want them to. This was a fairly inexpensive portable cd player. I found that for the money I spent, this was an extremely good purchase. I am very pleased with my player. I would purchase it again and I highly recommend this player for adults, children and the elderly as well. So, to sum up, this is an awesome sounding little disc player. The sound quality is simply remarkable for listening to music cd's. It is very simple to use and one really needs no instructions to figure out how to run the machine. For the money, I believe it was an extremely great purchase. An investment no doubt. However, with all it's great qualities, I did find one thing that I don't like. And that is the volume control. Every time you put in a new cd and close the door, the volume control goes to a very high level. It was a little loud for my ears, so when the song started, I had to quickly turn down the volume. So, you just have to remember to check the volume after loading a new cd each time. If not, you will be blasted!!

I like this cd player but I wish it was more reliable playing mp3 cds. I always use the same format and sometimes it plays a cd and other times it acts like there's nothing on it, I listen to all mp3s at work so it sucks that some work and some don't. Unfortunately I have to use an old school cd player at work as there are no electronics or cell phones allowed in our office so I'm at the mercy of whatever I can find. The radio works well. The sound is ok, no bass boost or anything. The plastic film on the cd player looks like it was removed and put back on, making me wonder if this is a used unit.

Perfect condition. Good sound quality, doesn't skip, solid and sturdy (accidentally dropped it twice and still works) came safely and arrived before time. If looking for a nice flashback to the past definitely recommend. Nice to listen to CDs again rather than through my phone. Only critique (and it's small, is the sound is set on high every time you start it) but that's easy fixed by turning it down before putting headphones on.
