If a bit breaks you can switch it out with a bit you buy at the lumber yard/hardware store. The counter sink and driver chuck has never failed me, not like some competing brands whose bits are pressed into the driver chuck and can spin out. Snappy bits are money well spent. I purchased this countersink bit because I installed a tapered bit from a competitor's tapered countersink set that, as I described above, spun out of the chuck, into my Snappy 9/64" countersink chuck. The competitor's bit had a knurl on it, which was supposed to keep it in its original chuck. With hard use the tapered bit broke in my snappy countersink chuck. I thought I would need to replace the chuck because I thought I had ruined it putting the tapered bit in it. So I ordered this replacement set to complete my original 25 year old set. After I purchased this new countersink set I attempted to remove the broken bit from my original countersink bit. I did in fact manage to remove it, so now I have two 9/64" countersink bits. I know this is a wordy review, but Snappy is a good product, well made and tool you can use happily for years if not decades. I am in the construction industry and use these bits A LOT. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality Countersink Bit *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2018* Seems like a quality product in terms of materials and craftsmanship. I will look to Snappy again if I need a different size countersink bit. I’m not sure if it’s my own lack of experience with the tool and really how it should be, but the countersink for me, was much too large for the #8 screw head I was sinking. Once I realized I just needed to not drill as deep to get a tighter fit, it worked fine for me, but it takes away from the user friendly nature.
